considering we have about 20 of them, that’s quite the serious situation  :o

Shit news. Am a little surprised we haven't been able to contain and isolate it a little better after the first positives. In some ways maybe would've been better if they all had it at the same time then came back after a couple of games.

This is the advantage that teams who have had multiple cancellations have had.

Couldn't be arsed going there just to get hammered like at Villa in the League Cup if it's that's kind of side.

Forfeit and tell the EFL to fuck themselves for the TV money if it's a case of going there with a youth team.

It depends just how many are missing though. If we can field a team of first team players and a bench full of kids (more or less) then we'd have to get on with it.

Yep. If loads have tested positive today and we're without a senior keeper we might as well just pull out.

It's a seriously shit blow as we're so close to a final/trophy and we're in this situation after it became clear we won't win the title. Arsenal and Shrewsbury were two very winnable cup ties.

I'm in the same situation as last year now not really caring what happens. This will fuck the cup ties up and everyone will probably test positive before one of the Inter Milan games. Fuck off.

This is the advantage that teams who have had multiple cancellations have had.

No consistency at all, season is a farce.

Should have either played all games or suspended all games.

Surely it will be called off.

We won't forfeit it and it will have to be fitted in at some other time.

I guess it boils down to how many are actually confirmed as positive cases. Hope they all get well soon.

The request will be approved IMO.

The PL chose to continue playing through Christmas (too much money involved and too much control by TV companies) rather than pause for 2 weeks and it's no surprise this has happened. If they can't play on Thursday I highly doubt they can play on Sunday in the FA cup.

I'm going to be absolutely livid if they re-arrange these games in that 2 week break which just happens to coincide with yet another international break where we won't have any of our Brazilians available and likely no African players as well.

I wouldn't be at all opposed to ditching the first leg altogether and playing a one-off tie next week, even if it's switched to the Emirates. It's not exactly a fortress in any case.

What were the PL gong to realistically do though?

Stop the League and make the players have their own lock down? You had Leicester players at the darts and Ali had a load of family over from Brazil.

Nothing illegal in either but probably not sensible considering your profession.

wouldn’t they need to make a decision quickly on that as the other semi final would have to be the same?

Of course, if these people listend to Kloppo and Conte the other week, and maybe considerd their sensible proposal to do it at the time, there would be no need to consider it now! But money talks.

Thanks for the OP Sheer.
I enjoyed it even tho' it feels like it was another planet just 24 hours ago !

Just got over the "thing" myself (and my family). All good which is great. One thing I can say about it, and it fairly ripped through our community here, is that it's super contagious. I've never seen anything like it. In 1 week I know (personally) over 40 people who have gone down with it in a small area.
(2 brothers of mine, in 2 different countries in Europe both texted to say they are tested positive just today. One is a professional coach and 10 of his (all jabbed) squad have just gone down with it).

From what I've personally witnessed it's no respector of whether you have none, 1, 2 or 3 jabs. That's the way it rolls.

I hope everyone (reading this) in the Liverpool squad and their families are ok.
Hopefully that's Liverpool done with this bloody thing now.
