Bit sad that he was our most creative player like  ;D

But yes, Joel was the one who shone tonight, when others failed!

He’s a wonderful player.

;D Yep he was excellent, few bits of really good defending when called upon too.

He’s just so calm, sometimes a players in a footrace with him and I think they might nick in ahead and wheel away but he calmly shields the ball and knocks it round them

The most underrated CB i’ve seen. I rarely ever see him mentioned

Another MOTM showing tonight IMHO. Wish we could have another five years with him but you get the feeling injury will eventually permit it. Regardless it's been good to have him throughout the season so far, I was as fearful as anyone he'd just break down early on after coming back from another spell injured.

Honestly, get him on shooting practice. If he learns to hit thunderbastards at the end of those runs he could score 6 or 7 goals a season.

We need to sign free transfers beginning with M more often.

His forward runs are funny
His dribbling is wild and free
But our love grows

He'll dribble past everyone and score a worldie one of these days dammit. :)

Been relatively injury free for a remarkably long time now as well remembering it's Joel.

He's just practicing at this stage, but he'll break out his Maradona 1986 goal in the last minute of the Champions League final in St. Petersburg before running into the crowd and then being carried all the way back to Liverpool by fans who've realised that football has peaked and will never be bettered.

- Premier League win
- Last minute winner by your goalkeeper
- Joel Matip taking on an entire defence before scoring

As meatloaf once said Two Out Of Three Ain’t Bad, but that really is the perfect hattrick in consecutive seasons. Although big Joel already has a CL final assist to his name.

Konate should be ahead of him at the moment, he's struggled in the last few games and could probably do with a couple of matches out.  Worked wonders for Robertson.
