Right, I know I'm jumping the gun here and, if a lot of people have their way, this still might not happen but we might as well consider one question before the Corporates get involved.

Moving from the current site to Stanley Park will mean there will be no Anfield Road stand any more. The Centenary of the club has been and gone so it's not worth keeping that name. And the Main Stand, well that's a somewhat flat name.

So the question is - what do we call the stands at the new stadium?

Presumably we keep the name of the Kop (or do we? Can it ever be the same if it's not on the site of the old Spion Kop?) Off the top of my head I can think of 5 possibilities.

The Shankly Stand
The Paisley Stand
The Fagan Stand
The Liddell Stand
The Stanley Park Stand

Ok - all predictable but can anybody else suggest better? So long as we don't get the Reebok Stand, Carlsberg end or McNasty's Family Stand...

Two stands need to be named after shanks and paisley irregardless.

That just leaves two in my book.

Will this mean if it goes ahead that McNasty's can fuck off, although i presume the buggers will be at the new one if it happens.

Looking at the pictures again I think it's a double tier job - that would leave 7 or 8 possibilities (different name for the upper tiers?)

Im not up for having the same name for a stand the the blue shite had (Park End).

Shankly and Paisley should be mentioned in there somewhere - the gates we have for them now could be incorportated into the entrances to these stands from their surrounding areas.

The Kop end should not be named after anybody. It is The Kop.

The Shankly Stand and The Paisley Stand should be (symbolically) opposite each other, along the length of the pitch, with entrance gates to match.

The end opposite the Kop (Anny Road equivalent)? May I strongly suggest The Memorial End, with the actual memorial, or another one for good measure, to be put there.

Could the Anfield Rd end still be called the Anfield Rd end? It would still be nearest to Anfield Rd anyway. Then the Kop could still be opposite it, with Shankly and Paisley stands at the sides.

If we dont, where would the Anny Rd Aggro go to?
