Yeah its scary how similar they are really. I suppose we'll just have to do the whatever the opposite of a rain dance is for the ground

Haha definitely. Just want good ground so the best horse wins. They wouldn’t want a wide draw either as that is what defeated Sea of Class when she almost touched off Enable.

Boom Gold Wand puts me well ahead for the day. Good comeback after yesterday

Me too. Such a shame she’s no longer with us. On Dancing Vega too, fingers crossed. Big drift on betfair late doesn’t bode well

Yeah another poor run sorry mate. I got it all back with the fav at Chester there thankfully. Spright in the 6.00 at Chester for me and I'm done for the day, in profit no matter what so a good day's work.

Love is some horse but Enable is being written off a bit too soon here. Yeah she's 6 but she was a c*nt hair away from winning 3 Arcs just a year ago and from her last run she's still got most of her class. She could be vulnerable to a horse exactly like Love but I'd have it a lot closer than people think.

Not writing Enable off at all, she’s brilliant. But think you’re mixing up her winning her second Arc by a nose from Sea of Class, she lost to Waldgeist by a couple of lengths last year. It’s just for me Love is showing the type of brilliance Enable did as a 3yr old and with the allowance and a fair draw and ground I just fancy her to win it, but doesn’t mean I don’t think Enable is a great horse

No mate I wasn't mixing anything up, the turn of phrase was not meant literally. I just meant she got collared late on by Waldgeist and had everything else beat, and had she not got the better of Waldgeist a couple of times before that too? I just meant she narrowly missed out on her third Arc last year and she hasn't fallen off a cliff this.

Love does look imperious, and I'm not necessarily saying I'm in the Enable camp, but I don't think Love should be an overwhelming favourite.

There’s not much between them and I wouldn’t say Love’s overwhelming fav, ones 5/2 the other 3/1, might change between now and then or even on the day depending on ground, draw etc.

Just my view but I think those prices are about right, but be the best price on Enable for a long time so can see the attraction in backing her.

Malone Road due to run over hurdles in the 4:35 at Kilbeggan. Ground should be ok this time so hopefully won’t be a non runner again. 1/5 so just watching but hopefully the injuries haven’t taken too much away

Today looks more difficult. Think these have decent chances but you can make a case for a 2 or 3 others in each race, so not putting much on.

Will probably back Tawleed. Today is a day for Hamdan al Maktoum what with Baatash running (unbackable odds) so you look for him to double or even triple up.

Hannon is very sweet on his runner in the Gimcrack. He won the race last year so after reading his comments ive backed his eachway

Mohawk King seems friendless in the market so far, the other one in that race that interested me was Balding’s runner, Mystery Smiles.

Well they’ve won the first two races, let’s see if my money can stop them in the next, it usually has that effect

Absolutely mental but when you put that much into the game you ought to get the rewards... a lot of effort goes into it

ITV were just mentioning Mehmas as a sire, but I had a look last night as there were a few in that race. That’s his second grp2 winner after Supremacy. Also Method won a listed race. I wonder how many will get a mile though, get the feeling Minzaal will be a sprinter, could replace Battaash he looks more relaxed

Find it difficult to believe he can land a 5 timer. Have backed Rushmore in the Maiden later at 9.6 just to see if it can improve and beat the obvious 2 in the market. You never know. Not at all confident

Did he do it on the bridle? How was his jumping? Wonder what the target is for him, the Supreme?

He was pushed out rather than on the bridle and came away a bit after the last. Jumping seemed fine, maybe a little slow over a couple. Wasn’t as impressive on the eye as those two bumpers he won (at the time he compared favourably to Envoi Allen) but could just be a bit of rust after such a long time off. Would think Supreme but probably depends which way Ferny Hollow goes

Was definitely the more exciting of the two yeah. Hopefully he fulfils his potential. Forgot about Ferny Hollow actually, will be interesting to see where they place them.

I'm probably being harsh as he's not run since Harold McMillan was PM but it seemed harder work for Malone Road than I expected. Never looked like getting beat and Donoghue never got serious, but the second doesn't seem anything special and I would've liked to see him win by 30 lengths with his mouth open. Hopefully just rustiness and he puts on a show next time.

I know what you mean, he didn’t come away effortlessly like in those bumpers. Have to wait and see how he goes in a proper test. Prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt given the lay off, but they don’t often come back as good from such a long time off

Really fancy Ben Macdui.

Backed him at Goodwood at 16/1 he won't be that price today. Trainer in form and by he is by Kodiac one of the best stallions around.

This ticks a lot of boxes.. Form/trainer and fancied in the market.

A decent bet I think.

Kodiac gets a lot of winners, but he's still missing the flagship horses the real giants of the stallion game produce. Best Solution had a rating of 121 but he's not in anybody's consciousness.

Reading Richard Hannon's blog again

He seems sweet on Mambo Nights and Host (Sandown). I have backed both at decent odds. (15 and 8.6) . Seems good value all things considered.
