Was on in the background for a while here. I played guess the original tune it's been ripped off with Wifey until we got bored and changed channel.
All seemed instantly forgettable except for the Shania Twain modelled 17 year old version which was vaguely easy on the ear in the sense that if it came on the radio while driving, the urge to turn it off or change channel would not be irresistable.
But I'd be astonished if we exceed 0 points with any of them, and that's not taking into account any probable anti-UK Brexit backlash.
Setting aside the fact that it's become a gross broadcasters gladhanding junket and is more about spectacle rather than music, I think the whole Eurovision concept is now debateable, most countries have such easy access to other countries music these days through the Internet that its inevitable that real regional differences in music for these sort of events is going to disappear as everything becomes homogenised to the basics resulting in everything commercially targetted like this starting to sound the same no matter where its from.
But I do wonder who is ever going to download or buy this stuff?
