The episode where they do short stories for nearly every character in Springfield comes to mind when I think of my favourite Simpson's moment. The "Steamed hams" scene with Skinner and Chalmers had me in tears the first time I saw it.

Love the first eight seasons of this show. Some of my favourite episodes are 'You only move twice,' the one with Hank Scorpio. And another brilliant episode is the one where the plant plays softball, with all the ringers. The third season to fifth season is jammed with classics, most episodes in that run are great. I could reel off so many great, superb episodes but my memory is failing me. The monorail one is also quite superb. Is it 'Cape Feare' where Homer wears the witness protection emblazoned gear and has the classic Mr Thompson scene? The Simpsons is just so quotable, I do it all the time.
