Miscarriage of justice!!

To be fair, Trend's team was good - I just think mine had enough nasty bastards and quality in the wide areas to win. My defence in particular would be as miserly as almost any in modern footballing history.

Yeah rawk isn't interested in 3 at the back

Well done Trend. Quite the mountain you got over there!
3 at the back with Sterling and Sanchez as the wide players is garbage no matter what the rest of the team is. Lets be honest. Then he's got Luca Toni and John Charles upfront and a half arsed Juventus defensive 3.  ;D

Not sure what the fuss was to be honest.  :wave #UptheTrend

De Bruyne, Marchisio and Payet in a midfield 3? Let's be real, not going to be dealing with those wide players and Antognoni - not a one among them a defensively-minded player. The best you can say is that Marchisio is a box to box player.

Vieira runs through them and De Jong protects the 'half arsed' Juve back line that has 21 Serie A Titles between them, 239 international caps (for Italy and Uruguay) and are, to a man considered legends of one of the most storied clubs in European football. But yeah, 'half arsed'  :o ;D

I really like Payet and Son off Klose, but if any gang of bastards would shut them down, it would be my 3 bastards. Willing to back Trend now though, as at least I can say I was beaten by the winner!

Exactly, half arsed as Montero would be off within 20 minutes and you'd have 2 centre backs with Sterling playing as left back , Sanchez refusing to come back past the half way line and John Charles having to deputise as a defender. Meanwhile, imagine the yards Kuyt runs. He'd be marking Antongnoni and Vieira out the game himself allowing Cresswell to put in his scouse crosses perfectly for knockout specialist Klose.

Love Dirk but putting him up there as a player to shut down Vieira when he's on the sheet as an RW is beyond hopeful - your scenario is too contrived for me, at least mine was plausible.  ;) John Charles was reportedly world class as a centre back also, I reckon this team could soldier on with Toni as a lone striker given Montero would inevitably get a red at some stage of the tournament.

;D It was close enough, and to be fair Trend has one of the best teams in the draft. I also like Hazell's a lot, who Trend has drawn in the quarters.
