This is great and all, but I think the best welcome by a manager in recent years is when The King went to see Boyzone with Andy Carroll. Thatís how to get a player.

--- Quote from: Egyptian36 on May 21, 2022, 10:37:57 pm ---Been watching some clips of Vieira after our latest links with him.His final pass is special and he reminds me of Guti so really hope we are after him.

I quite liked the Ďgive it back to themí attitude he showed when he kicked that fella and legged him up.

Barefoot Doctor:
From the reliable John Percy in an article on Villa's transfer aims this summer:

--- Quote ---Gerrard is also looking to strengthen at centre-back. Liverpoolís Joe Gomez has been discussed but there is now a sense that the England international will sign a new contract at Anfield.

Not for me. But opinions..all I know I trust us to pick the right player. If it's him then I'm sure he will.be.great.

Really torn on this. Love the lad and really want us to keep him but realistically he needs and deserves to be playing week in week out which, barring long term injuries, isnít really going to happen.

That said, heís a fair few levels above Villa if he does leave.

If he's happy to be here and sign a new contract, whilst knowing he may not be playing regularly, then great. Would rather that than sell him and look for an inferior fourth choice centreback (who can also play right back).
