Audible do a free 30 trial if that’s any help

I left em and they kept throwing me credits just when I randomly logged in :D

Guess what I "bought" with one of these credits...

Anyway outstanding podcast this, so many tiny details, can't possibly take it all in at once! I'm going to TRY to spread it out :D

I've got up to episode 14 of 18, it's amazing! I crack up laughing every time the theme tune is sung, it never gets old. ;D

Feel like I should have been taking notes while listening as there's so much good content.

Not really spoilers but will hide anyway...

Spoiler
The little bits like the adverts (chips for vegans!) and his little apologies or corrections and explanations etc (WD40!) are inspired.

Stand out bit for me so far is the letter from the old guy in a home who worked at Bletchley Park, just outstanding, proper laugh out loud stuff and I'm still laughing every time I think about it.

The whole time capsule episode is brilliant and quite touching too. I think that's the one where he lists a certain few newspapers that give "a selection of viewpoints" ;D

That was absolutely hilarious.  The set up and execution was superb.  I keep remembering it too and laugh.  I love moments like that.

I can;t get the theme tune out of my head.

Listening in the car this morning, I enjoyed his brief review of other podcasts, such as "How do you solve a problem like Ireland?" featuring a panel of English journalists, backbench MPs, and ex-Forces members. Questions like "How can you tell who the good ones are" and "Is it too easy for the Irish to travel" are discussed. One opinion - ban them from ferries, but not from planes, which should separate the wheat from the chaff.
"The nicest thing about quotes is that they give us a nodding acquaintance with the originator which is often socially impressive."

Have you ever shaved your crackling
If you see a lovely field with a family having a picnic, and a nice pond in it, you fill in the pond with concrete, you plow the family into the soil, you blow up the tree, and use the leaves to make a dress for your wife who is also your brother.

Love the podcast where he goes to Los Angeles and adopts an American twang.

He went to America by mistake. After he shot Forbes Mcallister, he was at a loose end after his BBC career ended, so texted Lyn and asked "What do now?"

She replied "LA", but meant to type "Lanyards", a reference to an exciting new business development Alan was involved in.

Through the hatch comes a tray of food. I paw at it listlessly until I notice it contains chicken nuggets.

And what chicken nuggets! These boast all the smoky zing of McCain Southern coating with the tenderest cuts of white meat.

The beans are lukewarm but not overcooked and a generous dollop of smash adds a buttery finish that sets the plate off beautifully.

To drink, a mug of steaming tea. A really, really good meal.
