I'd be very surprised if only got only 400 (3 1/3 %). With regard to Lonsdale I should imagine they have to reach a given number of bookings to make it commercially viable, proably a couple of 100, which would be half the suggested figure.
To be honest I cant see Lonsdale getting the numbers to make it commercially viable and therefore cancelling it.
Though returning to the initiall point of only 400 tickets?? It does rasie acouple of points in my mind.
1. Would it be enough?? I know every man and his dog on this site are going but how meny did we take to Valencia??
2. Given that the allocation is not enough to supply "the hordes", how will it be allocated ("other than badly"). The club would know that in at least the first round we would draw a club from one of the lesser footballing nations of europe (eg Scandinavian, former Eastern Block, etc) and that ticket demand would not be that great and therefore not need make any initial guidelines.
However, if demand outstrips supply, ignoring Lonsdale will it be
a) First come first served?? Some people have been seeming to be hanging back until they have been officially told which piece of paper to fill in instead of just playing dum and sending in last sesons.
b) Points make prizes!! They will allocate limited tickets according to games gone to last season in Europe.
Though for those who fail to obtain a ticket what will be the cost of ticket from a toute be??
