Don't think I've met one liverpool fan who doubts his quality. He's just made of balsa wood unfortunately.

Roles Royce of a defender

Fabinho is currently being labelled our 2nd best CB

Matip is criminally underrated

I think Fabinho is our second best, I also think Matip is absolutely superb.  Both can be true.

A great leap today to setup Salah’s goal.

Had a good game and let’s hope he stays injury free.

Nice week long break for him before out next game will do him the world of good. His positioning when Ayew was trying to play in Zaha was quality, such an intelligent footballer.

I loved this moment. Ayew was visibly not confident about shooting at Alisson from that angle, and his pass option was cut off by Matip. Brilliant defending

I thought of Agger when he came off. Great players both of them but can you play them for 5 games in a row without any hiccups? It's so frustrating when you know their talent and their body's can't keep up with the demands

Feels like we do incredibly well out of him if he can put a run of 5 games together, though he can't really put 5 together as we have to rest him as he can't cope with loads of games quickly. Shit situation, real shame as he's an incredible centre half.

If we are not looking to sign a centre back in January because we have Virgil and Gomez coming back next season and we don't want 5 centre back (including fabinho) then we should really look to shift Matip in the summer and bring in someone in January. He's a world class centre back but you genuinely don't know when he'll get injured. What's the longest spell he's had in the team without being injured?

My MOTM today. Seemed to give West Brom confidence when he went off the pitch. I have no doubts in my minds that we'd have kept the clean sheet and the scrappy 1-0 win if he were still on the pitch.

Makes me unbearably sad that he can't seem to get a string of games together.
