Yeah they’ve blocked embedding so just click the link.

I think one or two teams might have tested the new front wing in FP sessions at the back end of the season? Seem to recall a team saying they’re not convinced it’ll have the desired effect.

Bizarre to think we are only 6 weeks away from pre season testing starting. Only feels 5 mins ago the season finished.

Been 8 years since I stopped watching F1. Everytime I bring myself to watch it, a couple of races in and it becomes boring.

But this was my first only true sport that I followed since I was 10-11. Michael Schumacher with Ferrari 96' season.

Considering the world we live in now I am so shocked we haven't had any leaks over his health. I know there has been loads of little snippets (and some sick fucks that snuck into his hospital and took photos) but to know absolutely nothing is a credit to his inner circle

His son is racing in F2 this season. Will be really strange if/when he makes it to F1

It is surprising, admirable in many ways.  But you can work out what is wrong from what hasn’t been said.

I agree. The silence is deafening.

I hope his son does well at the next level although it can`t be easy for him with the inevitable comparisons.

Nikki Lauda is in intensive care after getting flu.  The worst possible thing to happen after a double lung transplant.

He’s the most remarkable man, good luck to him.

Time for my Name-dropping/humble bragging moment.

I drove him from the Merc factory to Oxford airport about 5 years ago.  His only words to me were to tell me what temperature to set the air-con at, and that he was running late, so "Get there as quick as you can"

Not another word until we arrived and he said "Good job, thank you" and fucked off sharply.

Still, not every day you have an F1 legend basically tell you to put your foot down.

As Tifoso deluxe, I'm very happy to see a change at the top. Arrivabene's been way too naive when dealing with other teams and not advocating Ferrari's interests strongly enough. He also should've kept Kimi on a much shorter leash, rather than allowing him to cut in front of Vettel at Monza  :no or setting the fastest lap on the final tour in Austria, rather than giving those three vital points up  :no He essentially allowed Kimi to be Hamilton's best friend during last year. If you have two drivers who can win the title, let them race, but there's zero point when the #2 driver is too slow. So for that reason alone, good riddance. Deciding to stick to three engines, rather than taking a 4th engine at Sochi, allowing Red Bull to drive circles around Vettel during the final few races and risking Kimi's US win due to Verstappen running on fumes all race long was also plain dumb. Brazil was such a stupid race to lose in that manner and Abu Dhabi with a fresher engine would've also been winable. Also, having a team principal who knows every single bit about the car, is close with the other engineers and will be heavily involved in discussing design directions can only be a good thing.

only time I came close to meeting a motor racing man was Eddie Jordan. He was doing a book signing at 5 or so one Friday. I was up to my eyes in work and my phone rang and someone kept me on the phone half an hour. To make it worse some fella left work in middle of my call and laughed at me

I didn't get out til nearly 6 and missed the book signing.

Pre-Season testing to be broadcast live on Sky F1. There’ll be lots of gaps they’ll need to fill when no cars on track but be nice to watch all the new cars on track as it happens.
