Posted on a site which is only about Liverpool stuff with no info about it..could be anywhere i suppose.
The for sale signs on the cars are labelled
Bowmaker at the bottom, I think the Gauntlet sign seen at the rear of the plot is for a used car protection policy company.
I've tried a google but nothing is showing for used cars liverpool bowmaker, long gone like many a used car plot I expect. Many would change their names every few years and move location, I imagine in some cases to avoid the wrath of previous customers.
The Reg plates J on the red Austin 1100/1300 and the L on the Escort are early 70's so a trawl through an Echo or Post from that era or around '75, or an old telephoe book, might give an address for a business of that name.
There's a Wolseley 1800 in there, 4th along, we had one of those in 1980-81, dirt cheap to buy by then and a fantastic car for long journeys, a huge but comfy mini with great handling until the hydroelastic unit went on one rear wheel and it had to go to the great scrap heap in the sky though I remember we drove round with a wooden block jammed in the suspension to keep the vehicle level for a few months, the way you did in those days..
