The multi substitutes didn’t really help with the last quarter of the game. We looked happy with the draw in the end. Fair enough really.

Yep. One day some one is going to seriously injure him and a ref will disregard his boy who cried wolf shite. Most insufferable player in the league.

I'd love him to be our c*nt. Today showed once again we need a pacey back up to Mane/Salah.

Did we get away with one when we subbed Matip for Lovren? Thought you could only make 3 separate substitutions?

Oxlade-Chamberlain came on at half-time, subs made then don't count towards the 3.

They mentioned that, could be a three point deduction

Ox was halftime which doesn’t count

Three occasions were Gomez, lovren and the double sub of keita and Origi

3 separate in-game. We made one of our 4 at half time so that's fine.

Wait, what? Aren't we allowed 5?

It's the first football I've watched since the restart, and going by comments here and elsewhere, the football has been pretty much dire all round. With that in mind, I didn't expect much from today.

We were the much better side throughout. The Shite had nothing to offer other than the hoof forward to a hopeful runner. They seemed content to hang on for from death and wait for the chanc there usually get and fluff. They got that chance and, yes, they fluffed it.

Very rusty from us, gutless from them, again.
I'm generally happy with a point at that shithole, so no worries tonight.

They've got the 'Dribbled past Virgil' trophy, and we will soon be reigning English, European and World Champions.  :wave

Palace are decent on the break, will be a much tougher game than todays

Not so sure, I think everton defended well as a team and just gave up attacking ir order not to lose. If palace attack at all then that when we can get in.

I don't know what I was expecting really but that was a poor game. Everton played as though a point would save then from relegation whilst we seemed to lack any urgency. Naby looked good but Taki is not a wide player and would benefit from being given a run in a more  attacking midfield role. Still we didn't lose and the title is delayed just a little.

1. Drew because we didn't have cover for Salah and Robertson - we've all said how lucky we've been with their lack of injuries. Frankly it's negligent not to have a pacy wide man to cover Salah/Mane. I said before the game I didn't know what the Mini love in was. Not his fault - looks a tricky player but we need a fucking wide man to cover Salah/Mane - why don't people get that?!
2. Trent's worst game for quite a while. Shite crossing, well off the pace. Surprising - you'd think a young lad like that would be one of the least affected by the break.
3. Trent is pretty poor at free kicks. Said it for a long time. One decent free kick a few years ago and the commentators think he's Beckham and the players let him take everything. Fab's one free kick looked more dangerous. He should be on them in future. Trent needs binning on free kicks.
4. The 20 minute breaks and 5 subs slowed it all down. They were there for the taking. About 1 decent shot is shite.
5. Keita looked good.
6.We'd better be up for it next game.

Did we get away with one when we subbed Matip for Lovren? Thought you could only make 3 separate substitutions?

you can substitute 5 players, on three occasions during a game, but also at half time.
We made a sub during the first half, a sub at half time, and three subs on two breaks in the second.

So we're fine.

Yet the narrative will be they had two great chances. Fuckin refused to leave their half for the rest of the game and Carlo telling his subs to slow down says it all.

Never mind, one more point towards the title.

Daft from them. I could understand it if we could have won the league with a win but they may as well have gone for it when Lovren came on. If Matip had stayed on we'd got Salah on I think we could have broke them down but that killed us.

Too predictable though without having Robertson and Salah to stretch them on either side. We didn't get behind the full backs all game.

Expected this kind of performance after that long of a break. Wouldn't jump to any conclusions out of it.

Except that Naby Keita is a great footballer and it's such a shame the amount of injuries he keeps getting.

He let them get away with a lot of fouls on mane in particular and also give richarlison a lot of his dives, but when Mane when down close to the area, the commentators were saying no foul and I didnt think it was but when we saw the slow mo it was and he was right.... so I guess what I am saying is that he got one thing right!

Our full backs and three attackers do most of our attacking work so missing two of them and then Firmino going off with 30 minutes left meant we were always going to struggle. Only issue is we dont have any reliable alternatives.
