He has been here for quite a while now though. Some comments seem to indicate going forward he seems to be more of a dribbling ball carrier then creative passer ( we had hoped?) however as deeper option we do seem to be more open than we should be.

When we originally bought him, he was touted as being a useful promising CM, who could play deep (DM) and also progressive going forward. A useful weapon to have. However, where is he best at?.

He was brought to be the 8 next to Fabinhio as CM who is can progress going forward with passing and Dribbling along with a penetrative MF. He can play 8 or 10 role in MF. 8 in this system. the 8 the left of Fabinho normally protect vs counter way more then getting into the box.

To be honest I thought Naby was OK, yes he was involved in their two goals but nobody covered thenselves in glory in those incidents. I think being subbed made him the natural scapegoat.
