Free kick all day long. He has two bites at aimlessly running into the player who is going absolutely nowhere. For someone who’s lauded for his game management, it was a really, really stupid bit of play.

You don’t give the ref a chance to blow. At 2-0, the plastics were dead silent and all we needed to do was to avoid doing anything silly and our most experienced player gave away a cheap FK in a dangerous area.

Yeah he gave the free kick away and he looked last ditch on a few occasions but at least he was busting his balls trying to get to his man. Can't fault his effort.
