Binge watched the whole series over the last couple of weeks. On the whole I enjoyed it, but there is absolutely atrocious editing in that.

Crowd reactions used more than once for different on field events for one. There’s a scene where they’ve just drawn 3-3 at home to Bolton, camera cuts to Martin Bain walking up from his seat shaking his head but in the background the opposition are wearing yellow and Bolton had been wearing purple.

There’s another scene from an away match where opposition have scored, camera goes to Simon Grayson in on the touchline putting his head in his hands, but the home fans visible at the other end of the ground aren’t celebrating, so it’s not the genuine reactions.

If I’m watching a documentary it should be completely factual and representative of what happened. Overall enjoyable but some very very lazy production took the shine off it.

Not surprising really considering it's a grim city. Southsea is much nicer.

Knew there was good reason why I've never liked Portsmouth ...

From Wiki:

Frank Brettell was announced as Portsmouth Football Club's first manager-secretary in February 1899,[7] he had been secretary-player with the St Domingo Club (now Everton) in Liverpool and helped ‘create the organisation which became Everton’.

That was one of the worst games of football I've seen this season. The standard is awful, that Pitman for Portsmouth looks like the fella who comes along to your 5 a side once a month who has a fag while he's waiting to come on.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

The best thing about Sunderland was always how easy it was to turn Lee Cattermole into Wee Shatteredhole. I cant really think of another name just like it. Legendary.

"Sunderland 'til I die" series 2 confirmed to be on Netflix on 1st April.  (yes, they have made reference to it being April Fools Day!!)

Did anyone watch series 1 which saw them relegated to League 1 from the Championship?
This series will focus on their unsuccessful attempt to regain promotion, losing in the play-off final against Charlton and also their defeat in the Football League Trophy against Portsmouth at Wembley.
It's been a rough few years for the Mackems!!

Series 1 was hilarious, Simon Grayson dithering over who to put in goal, & telling the other keeper he's in by text message a couple of hours before kickoff, :o Chris Coleman trying to stop a sinking ship, unable to do so, Jack Rodwell being a c*nt.

Watched the first 2 episodes of Series 2 today.  I thought Martin Bain was a smug bastard last year, but Charlie Methven looks like a whole new level so far!!
Luke O'Nien comes across as being a nice fella.  The loss of Josh Maja ended up being a bit of a disaster for them!
