Top Gun

87% of Steve Martin Films

Matrix Revolutions

Jaws 2,3,4.........48

Maybe bar The Wedding Singer, every thing Adam Sandler has ever been in, or thought about being in.

The 4th 5th and 6th Star Wars films. The others after those weren't much cop either.

That unfunny c*nt Chevy Chase and everything has ever done.

Armageddon

I hope this doesn’t include Planes, Trains & Automobiles...

Superbad

I have never watched a film in which I hate the characters so much. I mean really really hate. Horrible film.

Someone mentioned the Matrix movies - yep that's true only The Matrix original movie was any good - bloody damn good actually - the rest get worse and worse and are truly shit

Withnail and I: shit? Try watching it without doing the drinking game or high on weed  ;D

Jaws 1 amazing (but maybe not for sharks) 2 bearable but after that it just got silly and I wanted all the characters ending up in that fish's mouth

Ex Machina - wow this could have been brilliant but ended up up its own arse

The Magnificent Seven Ride - shit

Michael Jackson's Moonwalker - not shit just BAD Shamone!

The third Nolan Batman, "The Dark Knight Pukes" or whatever it's called. Shite.

"Thor: Ragnarok" - can't understand what people are watching to think that's good. Probably an automatic response because Taika Waititi made it. Shite.

The Rock’s stuff is mainly shite but the recent Juamnji films were fairly funny (for what they are - action/comedy family friendly film that is never going to be the most highbrow). Plus Moanna was good!

I was slightly tongue in cheek but now I've checked I realised I've often mixed up Superfly and Across 10th Street. Bobby Womack at his best.

The soundtrack is better than the film to be honest. Great album.

Bobby Womack I love too, esp Fly Me To The Moon album. Awesome.

Can’t fucking abide Quentin Tarantino.  Largely down to his contrived dialogue that seems to be so revered yet  no two human beings in the history of the species have ever talked to each other in the way he writes it.  Winds me right up.

I can kind of see that some it is nicely acted, shot and edited so it’s not necessarily “genuinely shit” just enormously overated in my opinion.  (Other opinions are available)

I'm all for things being kept from the viewer in films and for twist/reveal endings but my god this takes the piss.

Haven't seen the second either, but the twist in the first one was complete nonsense.
It only works if one of the main characters knows exactly how every other character is going to act (including when they randomly act like complete morons).

My personal nomination for this thread would be Into the Woods.
I've tried to watch it twice, and never made it more than ten minutes in.

Wasn't that the point though? It was specifically made to criticize the manic pixie dream girl trope that Hollywood generally uses in its films. It's not supposed to be about romance.

Seven Years in Tibet.  I sat in the wrong screen at the cinema, I'd bought a ticket for Alien: Resurrection but the woman on the counter told me the wrong screen number (I'm sure it was her fault).  Sat there confused for a few seconds then realised what had happened but was too embarrassed to get up and walk out after less than a minute.  Brad Pitt's accent was awful, it was dull, there was a complete lack of Aliens and I don't like mountaineering.  Waste of fucking time.

Oh, and Alien: Resurrection.

No. I love those old cheeseball popcorn movies from the 80s with Stallone and Arnie. I don't know what the difference is, other than in the context. I never really had to hear very much about them lifting weights. It was out there, especially with Arnie pre-Terminator, but you could breeze past it and focus on getting to da chopper. Fucking Dwayne is just constantly in your face. Some of it is social media, but then he also ventured into TV, because he couldn't go 10 consecutive seconds without getting attention.

I don't know. Dwayne has nothing but his musculature and that fucking eyebrow. The other guys at least had a modicum of je ne sais quoi. He just irritates the shit out of me.
