I have nothing in general against England World Cup songs. World in Motion and Three Lions are both great.

The song Vindaloo single handedly makes me want to see England get knocked out of every tournament they play in though. It's even worse when you look around and see who's chanting along with the chorus.

In the 70s I went to a strip night in a small pub in town.

A really well organised night, we had to borrow one lad's music centre (remember them?) and once that was connected up the it turned out that the only music brought by the stripped was the above mentioned Dr Hook track.

It was a bit like the disco in Father Ted when the DJ only had "Ghost Town", except in our case a woman took off her clothes in a Higsons pub.
