Okay, that clearer image is actually pretty impressive. It's kind of hard to believe we're seeing live images from Mars. I can only imagine what the engineers are feeling.

Ah, I'm off to bed after a stiff drink... I'll have years of work on problems here and there, but that's the happiest work of all when you have to come up with a solution for something that's far away and you can't see or test properly. Happy times!

I hope we get another mission to build.

That's the lower resolution camera on the bottom (haz-cam). The large camera is still stowed on the mast; wait to see those images in color (including UV).

We already have, mate! Don't I count for anything?! I have not yet met a Manc working on the rover, but there is another guy from Liverpool, who has even played with some past players (you have no idea how I envy him for that!)

Ah, the drink, don't know where it went... Must have had a hole in the bottom of the glass...

I'm off to Tanzania tomorrow for a month, so hold up the questions 'til I come back. ;)  I'll make sure the kids at the orphanage (I'm volunteering) learn everything about the Mars rovers and Liverpool; I brought them a football too.
