I've been able to find people I've lost touch with and keep in fairly regular contact with relatives over seas for no cost thanks to facebook and less so myspace.

But wont this stop you going over seas as you can now speak to them online whenever you want?

I can understand why people would want to be a part of it but end of the day I don't see the point personally in telling people who know me to well what they allready know or letting people have a nose on whats going on who i hardly talk to or people who hardly know me and wont hardly speak to me cause they have only added me cause i support the same band or football team or show they support.

Whilst I don't give a shit about Twitter, and i'm not interested in meeting new people through these sites, facebook has been great for finding all my old friends that i'd lost touch with. I wouldn't be able to go overseas and speak with them anyway because I wouldn't have known where they lived. As far as keeping in touch with my close friends and family, facebook does not reduce the number of times I'd go to visit them in person, as given that I live abroad, i go whenever I can afford it. It does however let me chat with them and see what they've been up to (in the same way that in the past, they might have wrote me a letter and included some photos)

I know alot of people who have facebook and I can see where you and the rest of the facebook users are coming from but end of the day it just does not appeal to me at all.

Not really, it's lack of money that stops me going overseas, if I had the money and time (in college studying for a degree at the moment) then of course I'd visit, speaking to people on facebook isn't going to stop me doing that if I could.

I'm convinced the BBC have shares in it. Look halfway down the article- why is some random prick's comments newsworthy just because they were made on Twitter? Every fucking radio show has some dullard on about it as well. It's the new 'text in and let us know what you think'. Nobody fucking cares you smug, self-absorbed attention whores; if your lives were that interesting you wouldn't need to incessantly tell people about it.

Thought it would be a good idea to start a thread on twitter as I could not find one.

If you don't us twitter then there is no need to comment but if you do we can use this to discuss tweets and recommend people that are worth following.

So far I have found the following Liverpool players, they seem legit but someone else may be able to confirm.

http://twitter.com/RyanBabel19 - Defo legit, really interesting as he posts pics from melwood etc.
http://twitter.com/Steven_Gerrard
Torress had an account that seemed legit but now looks as though it has been removed, http://twitter.com/it9 just seems to tweet news regarding Torres.

Some other accounts related to LFC.

http://twitter.com/Robbie_Fowler - not sure if this is real

http://twitter.com/paul_tomkins
http://twitter.com/spiritofshankly
http://twitter.com/pauldalglish
http://twitter.com/LFCTV

Non LFC players.

http://twitter.com/carlitotevez
http://twitter.com/beckham
http://twitter.com/JCDefoe
http://twitter.com/Ryan_Giggs
http://twitter.com/alanshearer9
http://twitter.com/P_Scholes
http://twitter.com/OfficialCrouch
http://twitter.com/RedRio
http://twitter.com/RealWayneRooney

Hopefully this can be used to discuss what some of them are tweeting, I recommend you take a look at Babel in particular.

i don't really follow my mates really, i think thats what facebook is for. This is really good for breaking news and updates on your favourite bands etc. It does not cost anything to sign up so i can't see any reason not to.

I have found babels posts quite interesting.

Rafa Benitez: "I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager. Thank you so much once more and always remember: You'll never walk alone."

It's also what gives it its virility. Nothing different to forwarding texts/emails, or sharing something on Facebook/YouTube etc.

Done.
A Great man once said...
"Football is a simple game based on the giving and taking of passes, of controlling the ball and of making yourself available to receive a pass.
It is terribly simple."
