It costs nothing. You just need to give a credit card number to join the iTunes Store (it's a shop, after all).

I think you can do it without giving them a CC number. I certainly did, because I don't have a CC.

Thanks for you help Walshy!

I haven't registered my iphone yet but when i'm filling in the form a part comes where it asks for my credit card details, how much is the registration fee? Is it a one off payment or a monthly one?

They only want your card details so they can charge you IF you buy anything from them - costs nothing to register and since I registered my iPhone in July i've not spent a penny

I've recently got my iTouch (In the £149 deal for the 16GB one from Argos) and have finally plucked up the courage to jailbreak it. I've been having a good look through the applications but can't find the League Live or the iFooty one, where about are they found?

Nice one. I'll have a look now, hopefully with better success.

Do any of these have live text updates when games are on?

Thanks once again lads. I found iFootie, but can't find League Live. I've checked the website and put the Apps in alphabetical order but can't find it.

Is there an App that lets you view Office docs? I seem to remember hearing about one but have not seen it since.

Try Air Sharing. Reads most file types but you obviously won't be able to edit them.

Try Fieldrunners.

I got it the other day and I can't stop playing it. Most addictive game I've seen on the iPhone!

Anyone else have this issue on their iPhone. When downloading and installing apps through Edge (not tried it yet through 3G), it will stop on the loading screen - if I touch the icon and pause it then restart it, it will start loading up fine.

i'm going to have a complete overhaul tonight i think, going to fully format my laptop, and reinstall XP.

Then i'm going to restore my iphone and install the latest firmware via itunes. Whats the latest version 2.2?

Also, does anybody know of how i can backup my contacts before i do this? Would i need to backup my iphone through itunes and then do a full-restore, and would this work?
Cheers folks

You can create a yahoo email address and port your contacts there from the phone (via itunes) then reboot/format everything and reinstall the iphone.  Sync contacts from the yahoo email.

Tutorials will be on the web.
