GRRRRRRR

Not many Mac users use Entourage, it's really outdated now. I would imagine the new one will be a lot more like mail, when they eventually release it that is.

OK.

Here's you as a UCC-128

Code 128 encodes a full range of alphanumerics, including uppercase and lowercase characters, into a small space. Code 128 saves text and numbers into a small space, optimal for use on inventory tags. Code 128 barcodes are also used to represent serial numbers on technology products, unique identifiers, and record locators for items in a computer database.

Free country (supposedly).

I'm going to be phoning them today or tomorrow about ordering mine I think... my dad's ordering a new PC though, and was wondering if he got a laptop from them as well if they could do a bit of a deal or something... will speak to him later when he's back from work and see when he's ordering the PC.

Well, it's installed and I use it probably once a week, maybe as little as once a fortnight for checking web compatibility for windoze browsers.

I like Windows. Just wanted to try OSX as well. Can't lose with the Macs in my opinion- I'll get Windows on it anyway and run the programmes I won't be able to on the OSX side. I'm not surprised the Macbooks are selling so well at all.

Very drole, Nidge, I meant more what the OS itself allows you to do and features rather than applications it can run.

Windows has loads of nice little things, just MS don't seem to go shouting about it.

I used windows for years, I didn't find them. I think the truth is that what I consider to be a nice little thing is very different to what windows offers.

Yeah, but the user doesn't just work. Especially when corrupted by talk of chkdsk and such bollocks that gets firmly in the way of productivity.

Is this Microsoft's latest reaction to apples "iEverything" branding? That they're refusing to use the letter i in protest?

(anyone remember someone (possibly Charles Shaar Murray) wrote a full page intro for Mac user a few years ago without using the letter "I", claiming an apple caused world shortage - and it read perfectly. Superb piece of writing.)

Ouch. Well, at least they're selling well.

As for that, I'd say no. It's £1233 for a refurbished 2.16 core duo but a brand new 2.2 core 2 (the two is fairly important ;) ) duo with double the ram, bigger hardrive and better video card for £1299

d'oh, they had 2.3ghz, 2gb ram, 120gb hdd, 15" macbook pros on there last week for £1149!

Apple's pricing policy is incredibly strange, go for the new one, you'll probably have to wait a couple of weeks for it to arrive mind ::)

Apple's pricing policy is incredibly strange

Well, there refurb pricing isn't so much strange as far too simplistic and utterly bonkers. They are not subjective at all. They just take a set percentage off the original retail price, so if the retail price was £1000 and they just released a new machine with a massive price drop (quite often the way) you end up paying about the same for a much worse machine.

Silly pricing but sometimes the opposite to that, which makes them a good deal.

OK... it's strange.

Laptop bags... :-\

Anyone know any actual real life shops in the Liverpool area that do a decent range? Only seen horrible one's in Dixons, and because it's basically the same I reckon PC World will have the same shite.

I know there's loads of places online, but I don't want some plastic fantastic nylon shite so I wanna be able to see it.
