This, my friend, is a thing of beauty, instantly wiping out half of the stupid PC users typing errors at once...

Double spaces after full stops. Misplaced tabs where there should be spaces, non bullet pointed lists, returns at the end of lines where there shouldn't be...

Gone, with a clever bit of find/change writing :D

the little •\t\i bit is particularly nice. Replaces with a bullet, a tab, and indents all other text before the next return to the same tab point.

Add a \p before the \t, it'll automatically return for you between tabs as well.

Like i said - days when I'm not cretive, things like this entertain me as a mental/problem solving challenge.

Better than sudouko any day ;)

Fucking hell, Nidge, that's pretty much what I do *every* day lately.

Web design really isn't as fun as it's made out to be.

About what you think about the Nikon D40 as a starter SLR Camera.

I think it looks pretty good, the D40x looks pretty tasty, not sure what the price difference is though. I can't look at anything cos my work is weird, but I'll have a good nosey when I get home :)

Oh christ, I couldn't do it every day, which is why I completely avoided learning anything about web design and sticking to print.

I'm only interested in making stuff look good - not in spending 3 hours making something look good and then 3 weeks banging my head off a wall making it work.

:D

You a Nikon fan claire?

I'd recommend brad a Canon 350D in that price range, but I much prefer Canon.

I have 2 Nikon SLRs, 35mm and a DSLR, and love them both dearly.

I've used a Canon 350D and as I'm used to Nikon's it never felt right in my hands, and obviously the layout of all the buttons/dials is unfamiliar to me, felt all alien :D

I'd say there's only minor differences in what they can do at this end of the price range, anyway, Canon's are usually a  bit cheaper, though. People talk all kinds of crap about lens coatings being better on one than the other, and low-light and ISO reponse, but to me, it's all about which one feels right in my hand and can do what I want it to.

Yep. Same for me. Using canons for years, so that's why I prefer them. Just used to them.

Dante - was thinking 350D for brad because, with the 400 out, he'd get one at a really good price.

I am quite a big Nikon fan from when I used the film cameras at college. So would like to stick to those with a digital SLR. Need a good price to quality comprimise. Will have to save for a while :(

this is an excellent, compact and very reasonable priced camera :

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canonsd900/page10.asp

no need to get an expensive SLR, where the main benefit is that you can use your own lenses (which are a lot more expensive than the body btw)

Brad, what about putting http://www.computerarts.co.uk/ into the resources bit, i know it's horribly obvious and everyone will know it, but they do put the tutorials etc up on there with the files so anyone who doesn't buy it can still have a go.
