Nice one, I'm after a digital photo frame as a pressie. Not sure if that one is any good. Anyone got one?

I purchased one on Tuesday (xmas pressie) from....

http://www.redsave.com/products/7_Inch_Digital_Photo_Frame?18

It hasn't turned up yet so I can't comment, but my wife is going to get the one from Comet so we can compare!  Looks ok to me though!

Wanted some more memory for my camera. Got a 1GB SD card  - good brand as well, Kingston - for just £9.99 inc p&p from these guys:

http://www.valueshop.co.uk/

How can the High Street stores continue to get away with their prices? Currys/Dixons can manage no better than £24.99. And the cheapest that Argos can do for the same size card is £39.99 ffs - and that's a "special offer!"

ebuyer do good value SD cards too. 512MB for a fiver I think I paid.  Superb tracking system to see where your goodies are too. Not 'branded' , but apparently if you peel the 'viking' stickers off, they often have brands under them.

Woolies are selling off a load of Xbox games at 2-3 quid. There's some good titles amongst the dross, one of the benefits of having a console when it's at the end of its shelf life is picking up great games for peanuts.

Well, I don't know what it is, but there's definitely something going on upstairs

Sony 300 Disc cd changer for £170

http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/page/moreinfo.cfm/Product_ID/1231

I would get one myself but I've just spent ages encoding all my cds on my computer as mp3s and I can't be arsed with anymore music related typing (you can plug a keyboard into it apparently), and the other thing thats stopping me is every cd changer I've owned has eventually broken and a 300cd changer sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

On the other hand it'll impress yer mates  :thumbup

I've been on the verge of buying one of these before and then held off. In a way it would be a good purchase as I could fill it with cds that rarely get played since I digitised my music. In another way it would be one more gadget that I don't really need especially as I have the ability to physically put the cd in the player should I choose.

Yeah I know what you mean, I very nearly bought one but I think I was more tempted by the low price than any real need, like you pointed out it'd be just as easy to physically change cds and probably quicker too. Saying that I do have the unnerving ability to remember my credit card number when drunk...

Got to say a big "thank you" to nidgemo for flagging up the Apple refurb store. I was a bit wary, 'cos I like my shiny, new toys to be, well, shiny and new. Anyway, I took the plunge. My iPod 30Gb arrived this morning and - it is immaculate, even to my critical gaze. I defy even a trained forensic specialist to see what on earth was "wrong" with this item that caused it to be sold as refurbished for a barking £129. I'm made up with it and what a bargain. Cheers, nidgemo!  :thumbup

Saw this in the Play sale, thought it was a great price for that much storage, and the Western Digitals are good quality external drives

Looks good for anyone who wants to mirror their data. I'd probably have it striped though as don't think I've anything that valuable to backup to sacrifice a 500gb drive for.

GPS system from ebuyer

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/123570

I've seen nothing but good reviews for this, and there's an extra tenner discount if you use google checkout.
Don't forget to choose the appropriate shipping, it defaults to the more expensive next day.

GPS's do seem to be crashing in price, so I could be a bit out of touch on this one.
Oh and it's not a Apple GPS........

Thats because they are a lot bigger than me. Plus that line is discontinued according to the supplier and they're down to 10 packs when everyones stock runs out.

Have a look, you can always email me through the contact details on the site if yer after something. I know not all things on there are as cheap as elsewhere, but some are nowhere near as expensive either. I can only set the prices up and down dependant on the current price i end up paying to the suppliers for new stock.

That looks quite a bargain.
Not sure how it can have

AND

SVP won't be around forever, and if they are then their prices will have to take a hike.  They frequently lash out stock below cost price and its well known in the industry that they've had cash flow problems.

Didn't know they had cash problems, but they do have far too many special offers where unless they are getting massive discounts then they can only be massive loss leaders.
