The K750i and the W800i are both fantastic phones - I have the W800i and could not live without it.

The K800i looks amazing though :o

Its ace, best motorola ever. I'd still take the w810 over it but it is fucking good.

Fucking lovely. It's only 270 euro over here now. Can't wait to get my filthy paws on it.  :lickin :lickin

Bought the k750i in the end. Looks a little beauty. Got it in black with T-mobile though, thought they had a specific model (D750i)?

I've had the K750i for nearly 12 months now and it's starting to annoy me. The joystick on it knackers really easy.

Any suggestions for a good smartphone. Was considering the Sony-Ericsson P990i or later on in the year Fujitsu-Siemens Loox T Series.

Any other recommendations?

If the only thing that really annoys you is the joystick then the Sony Ericsson W810i would be a decent bet as its been removed from that phone.

Got the SE K750i myself a few weeks back without checking on here, but it would have just confirmed what an excellent phone it is

Got the T-Mobile flext contract, £35 for £180 worth of texts and minutes a month, plus free phone.   Best phone I've ever had anyway

Wait till July and the get the K800i Gaz. Still got the joystick like but hopefully it will be a bit better and the camera is gonna be class. Or you could get the W810i which is out now.

My contract is up in August so I'll be getting that I reckon.

My contract is up next month and I want my new phone to be as small as possible. Don't care about camera, video, games, mp3 or any of that shite as long as I can make calls and texts.
I've seen the Samsung P300 but it looks like a calculator and I hate the Samsung user interface. Anyone got any suggestions?

As suggested elsewhere, get to a bloody phone shop. I'm worried that you'll be competent enough to operate the bloody thing. I've already recommended this phone in this thread:

theres always a new one coming out,. but it suits what I use it for. It has a slide out qwerty keyboard, it has 802.11b/g network card in it, and I got CoPilot Live 6 Sat Nav with it too. Found it very usefull and for an allround phone/pda its very good.

Michael A. thank you for the recommendation but there was no need for the sarcastic comment, if you had read my post i dd say that i had a vodfone simcard to Put in it so I'm sorry if i didn't take your recommendation of an orange phone on board.

as for your previous comments Ive started 2 topics not 37, there was no topics for recomending PDA? i know  there was one for a phone and i had posted in that before i started a new topic, but as i wanted information on a PDA i thought that if someone was in to PDAs they would look on a PDA topic not a mobile phone

the other topic i had started was of a specific question not in any of the other topics i had read.

before you make any assumptions, i have looked hi and low in google to see what the best was, i have been to my local phones 4 u and they don't do any Pads, i did a search throu the topics and went through a lot an here and other forums.

I'm sorry but i did not see anything wrong with starting a topics to see what people's opinion's was.

And please don't worry i will be able to use the bloody thing

after doing a lot of searching i will able to get a varient of it , these phones are all made by a compnay called HTC, they then sell the phones on to be rebranded by mobile phone netWorks and other phone companys, the mda vario is known by other names such as i mate kjam, htc wizard, qtek 9100 along some others, so everything is looking nice and dandy

thanks joe

Michael A. thank you for the recommendation but there was no need for the sarcastic comment...

Sarcasm and irony don't always work on a meesage board. My comments were not intended maliciously - I would have banned you if I had been really bothered.  ;D I'm pretty sure that the Orange SPV I recommended could be sorted to work with any sim card.

I did a lot of researching before I got that phone and found loads of helpful sites and forums to enable me to make a confident choice. This technology and science board is intended for general chit chat not specific technical advice, and I think that some of your questions could have been answered either in existing threads or by having another crack at Google.

Try this place for starters:

you would have banned me for positing 2 threads, that is a bit much. i have been doing a lot of research thou, just wanted peoples opinions thats all.

fair enough, i apologies i took it the wrong way and it got my back up a bit. i had mis-understood the nature of the forum, I'll keep the technology out of lfc football sites, after all we don't need a computer to kick a ball.

when written things can be taken the wrong way i guess and not at the right nature, but when said face to face it all makes sense. I'm sure a lot of people have sent a text message only for it to be taken the wrong way.

Got myself one of these on Orange today -
http://www.mobileshop.com/mobile-phones/orange/contract-mobile-phones/samsung-e770.php/

Been playing with it all afternoon and like it a bit more whenever I use it. Think I got a pretty good deal too: £25pm for 100 any network mins pm, 1000 texts pm, free voicemail access and free insurance. 18 month contract tho, but I've got double minutes for the first 6 months and my first 4 months contract cost is effectively paid for because they gave me £100 credit for my old phone (or are going to when I take it in next week).

Any thoughts on the phone?

(And if you've got my mobile number send me a PM and I'll send you my new one, but I'm not using it yet.)

Finally sold my Nokia 6111 on eBay. Can anyone recommend a good, easy-to-use phone, in the price region of £90-£120.

Looking at Nokia 6230i but for some reeason, can't see me with it. Same for Samsung D500/600.

what sort of features are you after? bluetooth? camera? memory card facility?

p.s. dont go into p4u

OK mate, from what I can gather they only seem to hassle Orange and T-Mobile customers.  They phone up claiming to be your provider when they actually aren't and try and sell you a contract with lots of hidden shite.  I've told them countless times to leave me alone and I will only deal with Orange direct but they wont take the hint.

when you set up your contract theres an option (on o2 at least) for o2 marketing and other marketing. I always just turn both off, but others dont bother. If it bothers you then just ring your provider and ask them to not share your details with other companies.

Fucks me off when people come in thinking that 3 are taking over o2 and they want to cancel their contract, when theyve just been fed a load of shite by a cock from 3.

There was something about this sort of thing in Which magazine this month but more sinister; they phone you, pretend to be from your provider (they can tell if you are T-mobile for example from the number) and try to get personal details (name, post code, house number) of you.  When you inevitably tell them you are not interested in whatever they are peddling, they switch you over to a new contract with someone else without your permission.  Never give anyone personal information unless you know they are definitely from the organisation you think you are talking to, is the advice.

Orange and T-mobile ask people to inform them of any company pretending to the provider and they will stop supplying to them.
As a young man Cameron looked out on the social carnage of pit closures and mass unemployment, looked at Margaret Thatcher's government and thought, these are my people. When all the debating is done, that is really all I need to know.
