This is an utterly bizarre game so far, but it's Spurs so fuck it  ;D
We won't be saying that when the Mancs get Rochdale in the semi! :D

every time a Spurs player feels ANY contact he goes down, then looks up at the referee for a pen, it's fucking laugahble. They'd probably sit there looking at the referee even if the ball was right there to be tapped into an empty net.

Ref on the US coverage said it should been a indirect free kick to the defending team cos it was dissaollowed for the stutter he did.

I am so more confused by it all now.

I thought you were allowed to stop in the run up, just not during the striking motion?

You’re allowed to stutter and feint all you want in the run up, so it’s the wrong decision.

You are 100% right. It should have been retaken for the encroachment by the attacking team, which was very obvious.

They must have decided he'd completed his run up  http://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/lawsandrules/laws/football-11-11/law-14---the-penalty-kick

feinting to kick the ball once the kicker has completed the run-up (feinting in the run-up is permitted); the referee cautions the kicker

Haven't seen the penalty but you're not allowed to stop your run. Rule changed a few years ago.
