Once Upon a Time in the WestIt's long, and slow, but this is really a film you can sink your teeth into. Bronson is iconic, more than picking up the Man With No Name baton from Eastwood. Claudia Carnivale is gorgeous, Henry Fonda changes tack to make a terrific villain and the supporting cast - many of them dubbed from Italian - are great. And that's before you get on to the plot, which is both fully realised and deep enough to provide the basis for a TV series, as well as the action set pieces, the incredible cinematography and arguably Morricone's best soundtrack work. One of my all-time favourites. This is from the opening, and follows a sequence where three mean hombres descend on a railway station. They have been waiting, but for what?
