I hope this isn't going to be like Lile where i missed out cos they never got my application.

Once sorted, if anyone wants to share accommodation, let me know, im out on the 31st to Lisbon, leaving on the 2nd.

I haven't put my application in yet but I wasn't intending to do a postal.  It normally goes on the phones when no POT is required.  I don't see why this should be any different.  Besides, how to you endorse a cheque not to exceed the value of the maximum ticket price (as they say you must) when they haven't told us the ticket price.

For Lille I put 'not to exceed £150'  ( was applying for 2) which I reckoned would have covered even the most expensive tickets - obviously you have to trust they won't abuse that (which they didn't)

Know what you mean. For Lille away i went ahead and bought Eurostar return tickets from St Pancras, to get them as cheap as possible, then Royal Mail failed to get my app and Unirea proof of travel to the Ticket office in time, so i didn't get a ticket. So that was money down the drain.

This time around, not many flights out to Portugal, so prices seem very high, plus Easter holidays on top and you have to wait to get the call to know whether to book flights and accommodation.

I took the gamble again and bought my flights in advance.

If you don't get a ticket, and your app is logged id be surprised.

Usually get mine in straight away but they can be logged anytime. Sometimes I've been with the early logs, sometimes later!

Mate sent his in a week later than mine once and he still got logged before me.

Mine not logged yet.

Thats exactly what i dont want to happen with me, money is tight etc anyway (espeically being a student).

When its been logged i will start looking into things as thats almost a ticket, but would like to see it logged today as i posted on saturday (should have been with them since monday)

Travelling home on friday though and no-one will be at home to take call so really hope call comes tomorrow or today!
