i called it in the prematch but having 2 beast in defence means more chances of an offensive goal from set pieces.

no one from palace picked up salah due to the fact that both our big man was in the box and they were too preoccupied with them.

Salah and Henderson have played really well. Milner just mops up everything that comes near him. Thiago good at times but that was a silly foul to give away and it could have lead to a goal.

Konate has done well. Jota has looked off the pace and needs a goal to settle him.

Tsimikas has been sensational. Some of his crosses were fantastic. He knew where Mo was for the corner and played a great ball in that Mo could have scored; excellent finish by Mane.

Milner and Kostas doing great. it was the classic slow start game after a champions league game. it took us 25 minutes to wake up. Kostas never touched Benteke for the penalty and Thiago never fouled Ayew just before half time. Jota and Sadio stuggled early doors but improved as the half went on. Fucking hell is there anything Mo cant do. His creativity and decision making are now on a world class level the same as his other attributes. A complete world class player now, we get this contract done and he will hit 200 goals plus.

Palace look really good. We are a bit leggy and you can definitely tell it's a totally new defence, after a dodgy start I thought we really grew in to the game.

It’s really weird, I don’t feel we were very good at all, and just a couple or so of players were having good games, with some very poor performances sprinkled in there. But we still thoroughly dominated Palace after an iffy start, and we should probably be a couple of goals up. Kicking myself that I didn't take Mane as an any time goalscorer - didn't think he would make it 9 in a row against them but ha ha, love it.

Couple of observations; Kostas is actually fucking brilliant, in a mad, looks like he's been out all night on the piss kind of way. Konate is also a fucking beast, he's huge as well as rapid. Good opening 45 from him once he got into the rhythm of it. I'll leave it to others to shout at Jota, but given what he's contributed to us so far it's hard to be annoyed at him having a bit of a stinker.

More goals in this, just need to maintain the concentration. This one would be a good one for Ox to come on, probably for Jota. The extra mobility between midfield and up front would be good to see. Should win this, keep it up lads.

Only real concern is our strategy of fouling every counter attack and hoping we do it early enough that the ref doesn't book us for it, other than that we're playing well.

Crazy miss by Jota, I think he just saw the keeper coming and decided to lift his shot at the last second, he fucked it up but it happens.

Took a while, but we got going eventually and looked pretty good by the end of the half. Same with Konate, he's clearly a very good layer. Jota's miss was hilarious, but it did kick up a bit I think. Nice one Sadio

Think it's a new tactic personally. Salah pulling extra wide and the RB moving into the space he vacates to give us an extra option in attack. Didn't expect to see it with Milner playing RB but he's popped up in the areas Trent usually does a few times today
