He has the gait of Jairzinho, the intelligence of Cruyff, the speed of Kanchelskis, the arrogance of Stoichkov, and the two-footedness of Lallana. The kid will go far.

And a Bobby-esque barnet as well...

Good luck to the kid, but he’s only left school a few weeks.  We have no idea what his season is.  But caution is important, the last five players to be the youngest PL players are all playing in the lower ranks of football.

He is in the Evian training camp while the likes of Kent, Woodburn, Curtis Jones are not. How is he propelled to the front of such a queue. Doesn't seem fair to the others.

I was one of those who earlier welcomed him to our great club whilst also having a chuckle at his 'unusual' hairstyle.

However, having seen him now in our kit I am now converted!!
It's funny what seeing a player in OUR kit does to ya outlook of him haha.
Before he was just another oik with a silly haircut in another team's colours....woteva....etc.
But now he's our boy and I don't care what he looks like..... bit like how - stepping back - we have to admit Bobby looks like a cross between Gok Wan and Joey Essex...easy pickings for other fans to poke fun at etc.

But who gives a shit. They're OUR players. As long as they do the job on the pitch and represent the club well off it, that's all that counts.

In fact, it's kinda nice to have players who look a bit weird/different. Variety is the spice of life. Would hate it if all our players looked like Scotty Parker.

This kid looks like he has swagger AND skills. I like.

As some others have said. He reminds them of Messi.

Now that's a little bit silly. He's only 16. And we've not seen him dribble past half a team yet, or scored some worldies.

I'd say he's more akin to either Arjen Robben or Frank Ribery.

There - I said it.

His arrival has killed off the chances of Ryan Kent.

Kent has done nothing of note for us, no need to keep a player who’s not good enough

Not true at all in my opinion.

Kent's chances were always going to limited to nil this season whether we signed Elliot or not. He's something like 22 and it's time for him to forge his career at a good club for him, that will allow him room to express himself without having to be too regimented or overly physical

I don't think Elliot's arrival effected Kent's situation. He was always a sellable asset. Its probably more Kent going effecting what we do in the transfer market

Well, that escalated quickly!

shit man his 10 min cameo magically made his hair and beard seem perfect. He was on the ball about 10 seconds after he came on and was driving at the goalie from the touchline in the box soon after that. Looks like one of those rare magnetic players that the ball just finds.

i hate those fuckers i run miles for every touch i get.  ;D But since hes our and only 16 I'll be having that.

Curtis Jones deserves a loan to a good side where he will play often, he is literally on the cusp, I think he looks class. Elliot is new so is getting integrated.

Does he? Not to be too harsh but he looks on a similar level as Kent, Woodburn etc in that he looks to be a good player that will probably have a good career but there are questions regarding whether he can actually grow into a Liverpool-level player. I think people underestimate how challenging it is to make it at the top without a combination of outstanding athleticism and technical ability.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.
