He's really come up huge in the biggest games, suppose that's pretty normal a goalie has his best saves v teams more likely to get shots on target but he stopped a cricket score first half in Paris, made one of the most remarkable saves I've ever seen in Naples tipping that one on to the bar with the tiniest touch, the Napoli moment last minute at Anfield, the one on ones v Chelsea, brilliant early save at Arsenal, today. Done it v some of the shit, small clubs too, incredible save at 0-0 v Everton for example.

And not just stuff like that but you get great passing thrown in among other things. He's saved plenty of goals and started plenty for us

Moments like that are why you pay the big bucks for a keeper.

I'm still not entirely convinced with the fannying around with the ball at times, I'm not sure the benefits outweigh the negatives it brings. Even still, its great to have a keeper who pulls of big moments like that. Its been a while.

Watched that save over and over again like you’d watch a winning goal. Outstanding doesn’t even begin to cover it! Without doubt world class.
Has Steven Gerrard scored a goal even more important than the one he got against Olympiakos - Is this the start of something BIG?

He has clearly proven himself to be well worth the money we had to pay to sign him, and like Van Dijk, has strengthened the defence greatly.

This lad is unreal. You don't want to immediately shit on the previous keepers, but makes a huge change to have a keeper of this quality who kept his concentration even after a long period without any action.

Love the fact that he wears no.13 and is immense and confident, proving that there is nothing 'unlucky' about digits.
I'd do the same if I wanted to choose a number to make my own, seeing as lots of other players avoid it due to sillystition.

Pepe Reina won it 3 times in a row from his first season in the PL. (20, 19, 18 clean sheets).

16 clean sheets in 28 games is very impressive indeed, and I think he’d have 2-3 more if Burnley didn’t break Gomez’s leg. Looks a great bet for the golden gloves.

In Alisson, VVD, and Fabinho is showing this now too, we have three imperious leaders in the spine who are about as good as it gets in their positions.

I think you're doing Matip a bit of a disservice there. We have just had 4 clean sheets in a row. One against one of the top sides in the world in Munich and another big game away v United.

What a keeper we have on our hands here though, eh?

it's a rare chance I get to mention that Rimmer did Regan's voice on the welcome to the pleasuredome album.

Saved 2 sure goals today against Watford. Brilliant.

Definitely and as others have said, he won us a point at Old Trafford with an astonishing save. It was so clean and precise without even a hint of a penalty due to there being little or no contact.

From what I've seen so far he looks better that Reina, who I thought let himself down in "big" games on a few occasions. This fella has already pulled off a few saves in those sorts of games.
