Out of those, I'd say either the tower or Star Wars. The Star Wars one would be a decent companion to the carbon freezing chamber, but it's really not that interesting.

It would, I'd buy it but they brought in a rule about 6 months back that they wouldnt be allowing sets that are already under a licence (so Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Simpsons etc) to become Ideas sets, as they wanted to push the more creative models rather than cool sets from peoples favourite film. Obviously some were already up and able to be voted on before they changed the submission rule, but I doubt they'd pick one. Bit of a dull selection to be honest.

The next lot of Ideas sets have been finished and these are the ones that will be up for review, and a winner chosen next year, including the Shuttle and the Saturn V tower that people in here have been looking at:

Full link: https://ideas.lego.com/blogs/a4ae09b6-0d4c-4307-9da8-3ee9f3d368d6/post/0d0f90c2-71d4-421e-8765-e7ea5f141f7f

From this, I dont really know which gets made. Gilmore Girls diner is a new licence so wont be that, the Star Wars one will not get done for the same reason, the Peru Celebration is cool, but too big, the Shuttle is too similar to a recent model and I've already said why the tower wont get chosen, which leaves the plane, but its a little uninspiring and theres a Red Arrows plane in the current up for review selection which I think looks cooler, so I really dont know. It'll be interesting to see what they pick.

So they announced the results for this batch and decided not to make any of them, which Im not totally surprised at given none of them really looked outstanding. Sorry for the guys who wanted the tower or the shuttle, sounds like it could be up to you to make one of them.

The next wave are up for review, hopefully one of those will pass, I think the Pop-up-Book could be an interesting one:

And the Ship In A Bottle set that I was really looking forward to, will be out to buy from February, and looks ace although at £69.99 the price is a little steep imo.

I found a good deal for the Tower Bridge set so picked it up the other day. Today I opened it up, and there are 29 bags, and it was before they started numbering them or had them sorted. So I’m sorting by colour. It’s 4,295 pieces, so this may take a while...

Picked up the Saturn V from the Lego Store in London few weeks back. Finally had a free Sunday to build it recently.

Shame about the launch tower, would have been decent.

I built that myself a few months ago, very nice. Let me ask, did you have a problem putting the two halves together seamlessly? I kept having bits pop off when I pushed too hard, so the top is sitting in there, it's just not locked in.

I had similar problems.  Bits just pop off when you detach or reattach the stages.  Overall it's very fragile, even for Lego.

And if you thought the Star Destroyer hanger was a work of art...

With their Grandad passing away this week, the wife decided to buy a couple of gifts from Grandad for the boys, my eldest wanted a Lego set as his Grandad loved watching him building Lego and was always interested in what he had built. He chose a First Order Star Destroyer.

He worked from 3 to 10pm last night and started again at half 7 today, he is on bag 9 of 11.

Just seen a Super Star destroyer for £2800 !!! Downloaded the plans from Lego and going to price up the parts to make one. Little project for me and the lads.

Im not exactly sure how the licenses work for them, but I would love LEGO to start doing Marvel UCS sets like the Milano. Perhaps they havent because there arent really many ships in the MCU, compared to the Star Wars universe which has half a dozen new designs every film and decades of previous films to work with.

The ship is already a set, it came out when the first Guardians did. They’ve also done a UCS of the helicarrier, which is almost 3,000 pieces.

Doesn't look that big at all really when you think 4k pieces - 18.5cm high, 47cm long and 39cm wide
