Don't think so, mentions it twice.
You may think different when you watch it, but I doubt it.

I can't say I'm that arsed to be honest. I wouldn't want Juventus to stay in the competition too long, prefer teams who play more attacking football.

Well we will see what their history means should they be facing Mane, Salah and Bobby in the next round then.

And their fans are pelting us with bottles of piss. Horrible bastards

Hope they get Madrid who proceed to rub Chiellin’s nose in it

I sincerely hope Juventus make tonight's game the main focus of another episode of their Netflix series ;D
Netflix were in London with them.

Should be a interesting watch.

No Gerrard, Xabi coming back from injury, Djimi at LB, and here's the bench that day: Carson, Warnock, Welsh, Potter, Smicer , Le Tallec, Cisse. :wave

You have to say that supporters of sides from other nations shit all over the support and atmosphere found in English stadiums. The Porto and Basel fans were magnificent in supporting their teams even though it was a lost cause, and other than the occasional "Oh when the Spurs...." for Tottenham they were poor as well for having 80,000+ odd supporters watching them.

Proper tight European knockout football.  Spurs deserved the lead but a bad ten minutes,  and juventus had it in both boxes.  Unsure if they can win it, buffon was at fault for all of their goals and there midfield looked average in a high tempo game.

Atmosphere wise it was fascinating,  was poor on the television, groans after they gave the ball away at 1-1,  spurs fans lacked the belief and defence you would get at European giant.

Weaknesses are there, would have no fear playing them.

No time for caution.

I ended up being happy for Juve. They looked out, they looked like an old team (a bit like Barca). But I dislike Poch, and all the hype around him. Glad that Max Allegri has shown him his place in world football.

Quote me on this, if PSG get Poch, they won't win CL.

in isolation that was probably one of our greatest results of all time. The team we had had no business getting through against an obscenely good juve team. Only a 2-1 lead to protect in probably the most intimidating away we could possibly play. What a night.

Almost made it again, with help from the match officials, buggers. Lots of shouts for the blatant penalty not given, and how could you miss that, but hardly a word with Kane's late header having been a yard offside at the time of the cross send towards him. It was very clear from the side angle, how could they miss that as well  :wanker

I’m not going to highlight anyone’s posts but go back and look at the discussion around this:
They only need one - if Spurs don't score. Last thing they'll do is go gung-ho and allow Spuds to attack at pace, or blow themselves out early.

And with 1-0 at the break it was ‘all over’ with 45 minutes still to play.

Still chuckling to myself. Boy did they blow that. In fairness they were the better side over the 2 legs but haven`t learnt yet to kill off a game (something we lacked for quite a while until relatively recently).

Think son is a great player by the way. Would love him in our squad.
