At one stage he was surrounded by Barcelona players with none of our players anywhere near, he still somehow managed to shield the ball and then send it through the lot of them into space, a sheer brilliant moment. As were his goals.

Loved his interview at the end. The standard-drivel-mask slipped for a bit when he said he felt angry at the manager for not starting him and then immediately it came back on.

What a man; what a player. As I've been saying for years he's our best and most consistent big game performer and tonight was no different. Honestly I went nuts for his goals, but when he shielded the ball in the middle then absolutely turned Busquets and Arthur inside out in the middle of the pitch before releasing a perfect outlet pass got me right out of my seat. Underrated player because he's not always flashy or jumping into big tackles, but he's a very special player and does a lot of things that don't show up on the statsheet.

Seems to have worked for Wijnaldum and Henderson late this season. Now that Fab n Naby have established themselves in midfield, the competition has heated up. Next season with Ox will be even more competitive.

I remember when he came on for the injured Oxlade-Chamberlain in the first leg against Roma last year and changed the game. Did similar last week against Barca. He loves the big occasion.
