Well it's inevitably arrived. To even be able ensure getting to all home matches now requires cancelling the rest of your life.

Quite pleased with the kick off time, evening game under the lights should make for a decent atmosphere and the day free to sort other stuff out.

Our FA Cup tie v WBA is on TV on Saturday 27 January, 1945 KO. Other TV ties are Yeovil v ManU, Friday 26 January, 1955 KO, Leicester v Peterborough/Fleetwood, Saturday 27 1230 KO, Newport v Spurs Saturday 27 1730 KO, Norwich/Chelsea v Newcastle Sunday 28 1330 KO & Cardiff/Mansfield v ManCity Sunday 28 1600 KO.
They've got that wrong, its Peterborough v Leicester/Fleetwood.

Probably would have been easier for some people to take if it hadn't come the round after a Friday night cup game

I prefer that time compared to an early KO. Hopefully the tickets will be reasonably priced to ensure a good atmosphere.

I fail to see how the Club can have any environmental credentials or, the city council for that matter in allowing this, when you have 5,000 away fans and a significant number of home fans who travel from outside the Northwest, who are all forced to use cars to get to the game as there is no public transport.

There won’t be anywhere near 5,000 away fans, in fact there may be way less than 2,000 and WBA are looking at transport help for their fans.

I think he means getting home from, rather than to the game.

Not much out of Lime Street after 10pm, but would still be able to get as far as Manchester and Preston at least. Merseyrail would be running as normal.

The same problem arises with night away games down south with 4+ hour drives back.   How many fans travel up from London to a match on a regular basis?  Enough to have a dedicated train starting from Euston calling at Watford, Milton Keynes, Tamworth and Stafford?  Spurs organised a train for their fans either last season or the season before for a late kick off at Anfield.  I know there can be difficulties with accommodating extra trains but it shouldn’t be a problem with a train leaving Lime Street at 11pm.  Would there be 500 interested though?  The Club could earn some credit by contributing to the cost.

Early next week at a guess

If you have Everton match you’ll be fine for this

Expect there’ll be a couple of thousand on members sale without Everton too

First dips for PRH, after that STH with Everton and perhaps (not likely) members with Everton can buy in the same sale. After everyone with Everton had there chance it will drop to all STH and after that all members.

Thanks that’s what I thought. I don’t have the Everton game as I can’t make midweek matches due to work unfortunately.

It would certainly help those based down south.  I can get home from Anfield in 30 mins but I appreciate that there are many who regularly travel significant distances who could do with some assistance for late games.  Bring back the special for evening aways down south.
