Was alright, all things considered and players absent. Dodged a bullet, obviously. They're a good team.

Very tough run and we are suffering a bit at the moment, especially going forward. But the big difference this season is we're digging in and defending really well, even accounting for the penalty incident today. Both sides somewhat cagey today, perhaps not surprisingly after last season's crazy games.

Happy with a point today..

It was the fair result too..
We certainly deserved no more.

Anybody have any idea why Shaqiri is not getting on the pitch, especially with the form of Salah.

0-0. OK result if we consider they had a penalty. We are still lacking a bit of sharpness up front. Still joint top and undefeated. A good position to be in.

So happy that that horrible run of games is over and we're level points at the top.

I won't say this often but bring on the international break, I think we need it.

Whew, absolutely take that. We're not in form at all and we've come through a rough run pretty well.

Hope we see an improvement after the break, and a run of "easier" games gets our front 3 firing again.

Level on points at the top having played Chelsea, Spurs and City. Each of those three have not played any of the others, and have all played at least two of the bottom four. I think City have played all of them.  Got out of jail today, and we need to improve, but anyone not taking that back in August is a lying bastard.

Can we talk about the big elephant in the room? Salah is absolutely atrocious and needs a spell out. He lost the ball that led to the attack which forced Van Dijk into a challenge. I've no idea what's wrong but it's beginning to cost us. We're constantly looking for him in attack where he's just not at the races and the ball is constantly bouncing off him and possession is then promptly lost.

Two very good teams cancelled each other out. Fair result. But.
How does Fernandinho ever finish a match.
He was booked. Forearm smashes Mane and then fouls in the build up to the penalty.
Someone on here said refs were under orders not to send players off because “it ruins the spectacle”.

The international break has come at a good time I think.

2 points from Chelsea and mercs wasn't bad considering how lethargic we look.

Why didn't Shaq come on for Mane or Salah? Pep made the better subs and should have won the game really - happy with a point but depressed at our tactical fluidity and lack of creativity. Why not change formation when it's obvious we're struggling to create anything

Given our iffy form over this difficult run of games (we are not firing at all up front) I’m happy with that.

But I’m fucking furious with Atkinson. There was a clear foul leading to the penalty. Fernandinho played him like a fiddle all afternoon, didn’t get ONE fucking yellow, yet the yellow cards were flourished for fuck all.

He’s a shite ref in a sea of British shite refs - it’s embarrassing. Or should be,

My arse nearly fell out when the penno was awarded, then I nearly shat myself laughing when Mahrez skied it. A bad day for my arse, but I'll take that given our recent form.

Big Degsy did a good job of shutting a lot of us up as well (me included), brilliant performance from him. I love the fact that the pundits are always going on about him having a mistake in him, yet he was flawless. Pity we couldn't get the 3 points but we're joint top and where we need to be.

3 - With Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City all yet to suffer a league defeat this term, this is just the second time in Premier League history that as many as three teams have gone unbeaten in their opening eight games of a single season (also 2011-12). Race.

Props to the defence - they got us a point and kept us in touch with Man City, which is vital.

11 points from Leicester away, Spurs away, Southampton home, Chelsea away, City home.

Would take that all day. Onto an easier run now.
