Well I was nearly there with my last set (13 points I went for with a draw against spurs - great to see I was wrong !)

Southampton H - 3
Chelsea A - 3
Man City H - 1
Huddersfield - 3
Cardiff H - 3

Seems I have gone for 13 again. I think we would all take 28 points from the first 30 available  ;)

I think we'll go the full whack for the first 5 games. 15 out of 15.

What has the universe got to do with it? You're here in Brooklyn! Brooklyn is not expanding!

Southampton H - 3
Chelsea A - 1
Man City H - 1
Huddersfield A - 3
Cardiff H - 3

11/15 (26/30)

Going for a few dropped points but no shame in that against Chelsea/City.  Think the schedule might catch up with us a bit.

Well I kind of got it right and wrong first time out.

"I think it's going to be a much more competitive league all around. Wolves, Brighton, Palace, Fulham, Everton, Burnley, Leicester I fancy to stiffen up the mid table.

Anyway I think we will get a hard fought 3 points, 2-1 West Ham
Same for Palace 1-2
Brighton 3-1
Leicester likewise 1-2
Spurs 2-2

13 points would be fantastic."

This time

Soton H - Win 2-0,
Chelsea A - Draw 1-1,
Manchester City H - Win 3-1,
Hudders A - Win 2-0,
Cardiff H .... we let rip, 4-0.

Amazing if we manage it.

By the way PSG, win 3-1,
Chelsea (LC) win 2-1,
Napoli win 2-1.

I'll go for 13 points (draw at Stamford Bridge) as well but ultimately would settle for 11 (two draws against Chelsea and Manchester City wouldn't be a disaster - the other 3 we have to be looking to win obviously).

Crystal Palace (A)   3
Brighton (H)           3
Leicester (A)          1
Tottenham (A)        3

And I'd be very happy with that too, fingers crossed.

Southampton (H) - 3
Chelsea (A) - 3
Man City (H) - 0
Huddersfield (A) - 3
Cardiff (H) - 3

At least one of Southampton, Huddersfield or Cardiff will get absolutely destroyed. Chelsea have started well but I don't think they're good enough to sustain it. If we can keep Hazard quiet we'll win that.

City are long overdue a win at Anfield and after we dumped them out of the CL last year it'll be the one game they're desperate to win. Hope I'm wrong but I can see them getting the better of us this time.

12/15 would be a good return and keep us on course for a 90+ points total with some very tough games out of the way.

Southampton H, win 3-0
Chelsea A, win 2-1
Man City H, win 3-1
Huddersfield A, win 3-1
Cardiff H, win 5-0

15 points.

We could easily drop points to Man City or Chelsea, and if we’re not at it, I suppose the other three games have room for a slip up. But we look on it so far this season, and the concentration levels are high.

10 wins to open the season would be dreamland, but doable.

Hard to be objective at the moment considering we look invincible but i'll give it a shot

Southampton H - 3
Chelsea A - 1
Man City H - 1
Huddersfield A - 3
Cardiff H - 3

Against Chelsea and Man City the world will be ending because we haven't won in 2 games..

Soton - 3
Chelsea (A) - 1
City (H) - 3
Hud - 3
Cardiff - 3

Can't see us pulling the 3 day double off against Chelsea with the second game at theirs, fine to take the point there.

I can actually see us beating City at Anfield, if the crowd is what it needs to be I think we'll win it (just a few days after our Napoli away leg tie so that's optimistic).

This goes without saying, but I feel confident that we're not gonna bottle any of the games vs. minnows from here on out. Knock on wood lol

The next 2 league games are genuinely the biggest period in the league we’ve faced since we played Chelsea at home under Rodgers.

Win them both and it is pure daylight in terms of points.

We will see it home from there, no matter how soon we are in the season. The winning fervour those wins and that gap at the top would bring will be powerful enough to conquer it all.

Win the next 2 league games and the team will write themselves into history.

I'd be delighted with two draws, 4 points would be amazing, but we've had such a phenomenal start that even two losses wouldn't be a disaster. Which also shows how important it is to be the best at beating the rest.

I get the whole 1 game at a time thing....and the REAL title run not starting until we get closer to May etc.

But this really is a good point. And an important one.

I would even say limit it to JUST beating City to ensure a 3 point gap (at least) on them if we don't lose to Chelsea.....then we just have to match them point for point throughout the season. I think we're capable of that, I am not sure what Chelsea are capable of in the long run and I don't think the others can turnover 5+ points on us

i want everything to go wrong for City this season. Scandals, injuries, bad luck...just everything. And the opposite for us....it really has been a valuable start from us.

To have 18 points in the bag already is excellent.

Little late to the table for this batch of games, but agree with BazC above - a crucial couple of league fixtures coming up next.. Win both and at worst we'll be 5 points clear of 2nd and 3rd place. I think I'd rather drop points in the Chelsea game if we have to for a couple of reasons, first I think the psychological factor of beating City can't be under-estimated. Last season they went to another level after beating us at the Etihad. I'd love us to do similar. Secondly, I think Chelsea are are much more likely to fall away this season - still developing, lack of a clinical striker and the Europa League/Sunday rhythm to contend with.

City play Burnley at home then Spurs away in their subsequent league fixtures (with Shaktar away inbetween) and Chelsea away at the Saints then at Home to United. So, real opportunities for both sides to drop points in those couple of fixtures while we play, probably, the weakest teams in the league.

I think the lads are gonna be so utterly up for both these games the only danger is almost trying too hard.

With Saints done, I'll exclude that fixture. Think more than ever the result in game one will dictate our performance in the second. I think we can go to the Bridge and outplay Chelsea. They haven't played anyone that will take the game to them like us yet - except City in the Charity Shield, which was lost.

Chelsea Away - W
City Home - W
Huddersfield Away - W
Cardiff Home - W

Only real concern is the international break after the City game. I've seen them have negative impacts in terms of fitness, form and rhythm before. Good thing that we're playing Huddersfield then.

We came back from the last one and beat a top six rival in an early kick off, we should be fine. The Huddersfield game is at 5:30.

Yeah, although we're dealing well with unknowns so far.

If you want the positive spin (I know you do ;)) then could point out that last year when we played City at home and won we didn't have an international break and then lost to Swansea. So it's clearly a good thing to have a break after that fixture this time!

We can talk all we like about how the Chelsea and Palace games ended our title charge in 2014 but the two back to back fixtures against City and Chelsea over that Christmas period are still the ones where I think we showed we weren’t quite ready to be title winners.

We have a perfect opportunity to show what we’re made of in these next two league games and I’m expecting us to come through them with some more points on the board.
United used to win titles on easy street, time for us to take over that real estate

After the run of games we've just been through if anyone is not happy you're an idiot.

Got through Spurs and Chelsea away + Man City at home.

Just down on goal difference in the league.

Happy days

Hopefully we will finish this five game block with two good wins against Huddersfield and Cardiff. So far our season is being built on a great defence. The next couple should give the attack to shine. If we end up with a points haul of 26/30 for the first ten games, given the fixtures, that will be very good indeed.

There’s a long way to go but we look like we are in a title fight even at this early stage. The defence has been rock solid, and you get the impression there’s more to come from the midfield as players are integrated and Jurgen finds the blend. And while stories of a stuttering attack are a bit wide of the mark, there is definitley more to come from that department.

Onwards and upwards!
