Nabz, correct me if i'm wrong, but these are wired.  I'm looking for recommendations for Wireless headphones

Sorry mate that was for the op,

I'm not an expert when it comes to wireless cause there isn't much of a choice but this does seem decent,

but wireless..

Does anyone have any advice, I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones (not ear plugs), the cover your ear type.

To use for music and pc, budget around £100.

Thanks

GRADO LABS' SR60 or SR90. Job done.

Amazing sound quality, comfortable (pads better than rings imho), last you for fucking YEARS, great bass response. Should be within your budget too.

Seconded. There is no better for the price.

I am currently using SR125i's which were a bit more expensive than OP budget at £170 but I've seen them for £150, however: bang for buck the SR60s and 90s are perfectly fine (60's are 90 quid). They are semi open though and very leaky so be prepared for angry prods from anyone who happens to be in the same room who may be trying to listen to something else.

:D I was on a train some years ago, relatively empty coach, listening most likely to Massive Attack or something with a shitload of bass anyway.....and the conductor comes up....so I get me ticket out...he says, "Nah, I don't need to see that." So I thought, "Here we go, someone's complained."

He just smiles and says, "Where d'yer get them 'eadphones, la, they look boss and I can hear the bass from here!" Result. :D

And none of this pissy little thin wire either, it's like a bloody guitar lead ;)

The only pain in the arse thing is when the leads up to the cans get twisted and you have to piddle about spinning them around to get it back into kilter.

Thought I'd better bump this thread rather than start a new one  :)

Can anyone recommend me a good pair of headphones for £50 or under? I'm thinking Sennhesiser but I'm open to anything.

Sennheiser HD215

Although if you just want them for listening to music then don't get them, they have a 'flat' sound which is good for music production/djing.

I bought these last week and I think they are great considering the price. Although I have never really used proper headphones before, but I have used expensive £50+ earphones and these are probably equal if not better.

It's just for listening to music mate.

Those HD201s look good, I think my mate had a pair and they were really impressive for the price

I'd recommend the Etymotic HF2 if you can cope with ear canal phones. They've brought out the upgrade to them, the HF3, which sell for £150 in the apple store, but they're barely an upgrade at all according to the reviews.

The sound is superb and you can pick them up for £40 new on eBay sometimes.

Bought those a few weeks ago. Best bang for buck headphones by all accounts. Wasn't expecting much, and probably saw myself upgrading soon after but more than happy with them and they'll do for me.

Problem I have with in-ear phones is that noise they make when the wire rubs against clothes or anything like that. I'd pay good money for a pair that didn't do that.

My lad has got a set of Beats Pro headphones and the wire has broken, will a replacement from Amazon for about £8 suffice or will he need the original to ensure quality of sound is not lost.
The replacement core wire is the same thickness.
Cheers.

What's the general opinion on wireless earphones? Just bought these. Haven't received them yet but hope they do a good job like normal wired earphones. They're only for the gym anyway as I have Philips earphones for using when travelling

Been considering an upgrade recently.

But...I've also had it on my mind that it hardly seems worth spending money on a boss pair of headphones if the vast majority of stuff I'll listen to is when out and about on MP3.

Anybody able to convince me differently?

Buy good headphones?

 :P :P

I would get them repaired, certainly cheaper than a new pair.
I'm sure Monster do repairs? Or  just Google repairs and your local area, or use yell. if not you probably have a local place that does electrical stuff.
For the money they cost, repair is definitely the best option.

I've been a member for several years and spent more than enough on audio equipment and the site is amazing.

Looking for a Bluetooth stereo headset for my nokia 500. I listen music, play radio and use the phone navigation majorly. Would be awesome if the headset could be used for this purpose, in addition to making calls of course. Tried the BH-505 but its too small for my head and it doesnt play music through the BT. But awesome clarity when speaking. Not even my wired earphones came close.

What about the plantronics backbeat go headsets? Are these any good for music and navigation for a simple Nokia?

I had a go of these Bose QuietComfort 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones yesterday and fuck a duck they were brilliant. Not paying £250 for headphones though, no matter how good, fuck that.

I have a pair of these and they are boss. MUCH better than the Sennheiser inear ones I used to have. No scratchy sounds when you move around and the sound and build quality are great. The wires untangle really easily as well.

Wanted something to block out noise whilst I study for a course. Rather than spunk 200 odd quid I fell for the reviews on these

nearly 80 reviews and almost 5/5 so went for them....hardly blocks anything out

Used to have a pair of SR60s until they broke.
Replaced them with SR80is which were unbelievably uncomfortable after 10 mins of use.
Replaced them with these which sound far better than the Grados and are much more comfortable:

The noise cancelling on the Boses is magnificent, that is its USP. The better Beats models offer quite a fun sound, but nothing the Boses can't match. I've had my QC15s for 3 years now and have listened to hundreds and hundreds of hours of music on them. The difference they make on planes is nothing short of astonishing - especially on the godawful 777s.

What so QC15 are even decent with say R&B, Rap, pop music etc?

Yes. Definitely. They're superb.

I hear the bass on them are not that good though. What do you think?

Do you really think they're worth the £250-£300 that they cost?

I really can't decide between these or the beats studios.

I have the slate/brown Limited Edition ones. However, the QC15s are very expensive.  You can get much better sound from others such as the Bowers and Wilkins P5 if you're looking at spending a lot.  Even my Sennheiser HD215 sound as good, if a different kind of sound.

The best bit about the QC15s is the noise cancelling.  If I use the Sennheisers in the office, I have to turn up the volume to drown out the chatter from everyone else.  If I'm on the plane it's simply not possible to drown out the droning without playing the iPod at full volume.  How long can you seriously do that?

The Bose QC15s I can listen to music at very low volumes, which means I can listen to it for longer.  If I just want peace and quite whether I'm in the office, on a train or at 36000 feet, I can simply switch them on without music and the world goes silent (or as near as damn it).

And the sound quality is pretty decent.  Doesn't have the bass that others do, but to my mind that's not what all music is about.
"I believed them fellas."
Thank you, Mr. Moores.
