i know he has done many things in his life, ,creating the predator boot, photography, lying to his parents in OZ when Charlton told him to go back home as he would never make a player,scoring a goal in the 86 cup final, {almost 2 from memory,tried to tap in Rushies 2nd } but reading his story about his sister is heartbreaking

What a top bloke Craig is. Supporting his sister in that way is a great example of selflessness. Good on you Craig.

Did I read correctly? He has had cancer of his face? I hadn't heard about that - I hope he is okay now.

I loved Craig as a player, his enthusiasm was infectious. Then he did his bit after Hillsborough. Impressed me as very genuine in the way he contributed.  So much to admire! Stay well, Craig.

Hope he makes a full recover from face cancer. A true Liverpool legend regardless of what he achieved on the pitch, he gave up his career for his sister which tells yoh everything.

Great interview. Matty Johns one of the funniest personality you will find on Australian tv and a very good ruby league player before.

Although I thought it was really unfair for Craig Johnston to relive all those painful memories and having him to talk about Heysel and Hillsborough. He has moved on and should have left it at that.

I remember that from the article long ago in Australia when they said how he got more money from designing predator boots than playing football. I think it was mentioned in the region of millions.

Irregardless whether this was true or not, this gentleman is highly respected anywhere he goes.

My memory is pretty fuzzy at this stage but when he announced his retirement from the game it was a huge shock and some were giving him shit about it. Just did not know what was going on as why was he leaving at the height of his career. Little did we know back then how great a human being he was as totally forgot about his own ambitions to care for his sis & family.
