First season with Wolves in the Championship, 35 games in the season, sitting first with 75 points, 5 points ahead of Newcastle and 8 points ahead of 3rd placed Leeds.

Board wanted a playoff place so I'd say we're on our way to exceed expectations (fingers crossed) but since I only signed one year contract, and the club's finances are in the gutter, I am not sure that I'd stay with them even if I get them promoted. A lot of the players's contracts end in the summer and the squad need a massive rebuilding job to survive the PL.

Gonna concentrate on the task at hand first, hope I would hit the 80 point mark before the International break.

With Liverpool, 4th season. Won the league every season so far but apart from a couple of Community Shields I've only won the FA Cup on top of it. Champions League is doing my head in though, every single year without fail I get one of Madrid or Barca in the group stages as well as probably the strongest third seed team. It's a fucking nightmare then seeing United swan through their groups playing the likes of Kiev, Anderlecht etc.

Just like real life I suppose but needed to vent!

Play a 4-3-3 and currently I play:

        Donnarumma
Clyne  Tah  Sakho  Taylor
             Can
Henderson   Alli
Sane  Origi   Lemar

Bloody hard work though!

I'm playing with a mate at the minute using the January update.

In the first season and Tottenham, Utd and Chelsea (his team) seem to be winning every single game, I just cant keep up.

I'm about 7 points clear of 5th with 5 games left so I'm just looking to qualify for the CL, and then hopefully I'll be able to better strengthen in the Summer.

They all normally have a blip at some point mate so that's mental!

Think in my second season United had dropped 2 points from their first 14 games, somehow clung onto their coat tails and won the league. They had a dreadful last 10 games and finished 4th. Just. Keep dreaming!

Looking at this again, it looks like I've just drawn way too many games. I've got a good defence and actually a decent attack, just can't seem to score when it matters I guess.

Yeah a couple of those draws into wins mate and you're right in there. Looks like you could do with a few more goals though to take you to the next level. How do you play if you don't mind me asking?

Course I don't mind. When I'm playing a top, top team, I play the one on the left. Otherwise, I play the one on the right:

I managed to overtake my friend to finish 3rd with on the last game of the season. We both finished on 79 but I had the better goal difference.

Tottenham and United both finished on 85 points but United won the league on goal difference.

Good base to work from mate and I think 3rd is a good season! I play very similar to your one on the left actually. What has actually worked really well for me is the full backs. I have both wingers on IF-s, but then my left back is a full back attack who gets double figures in assists every season. And my full back is Charlie Taylor as well so not exactly a world beater! Personally, as Liverpool, I also think you could play with a control mentality too, really try and seek the initiative from the off.

One other point (sorry if it sounds critical!) is that I don't think you need two advanced playmakers either, as well as a DLP. There is a lot of focus there on creating opportunities as oppose to getting people in the right positions to take them - if that makes sense?!

Change Moreno to attacking - you're really emphasising width in your tactic but Mane is the only man providing it. Coutinho the way he is with Moreno attacking behind is a great combination in this game

End of my 6th season with Liverpool, won the league 5 times in a row and the European Cup twice in that time. Anfield has been at 59k capacity for a while now so asked the board for a new stadium, they said no, I leaked it and complained to the press and now we're going to be moving to a new 77k seater stadium in a few years time!

Was bored with morning to added our transfer targets into the database to see how Klopp would do

Added:
VVD
Sessengog
Keita
Chamberlain
Salah

Didn't do any outs - left Klopp in charge of those.

In 5 years
Finished runners up 3 times (once on goal difference!), other 2 seasons we finished 6th
Won a Community Shield
Won a League Cup
Lost an FA Cup final to Everton
Lost a Champions League final to Man City
Lost a Europa League final to Chelsea

VVD - Did his ligaments in January of the first season, when he returned he wasn't able to oust Matip or Lovren for the majority of the 5 years
Sessengog - Spent the entire time out on loan
Keita - Left after 4 season to go to PSG for a whopping £120m (80 upfront)
Chamberlain - Left on a free to Spurs after being a bit part player
Salah - Spent to seasons as backup before Real Madrid bought him

I was expecting more lol

The biggest signing was Anthony Martial who left Utd for PSG, then had his career rescued by Klopp!  ;D

He mostly bought regens to develop, some absolute belters too.

I go defensive counter, won 1-0, they had 63% possesion a 55 shots at goal   ;D ;D ;D :o
We already have shit in the country, and the game of Liverpool fills life with joy. Thanks

Loving this so far.

Only 11 games into my first season as Liverpool, signed Van Dijk, Luis Muriel, Salah, Robertson and Christian Maggio as cover for Clyne.

Let Ings go and got fucked on the wages front, currently paying him £26k a week until 2020 because I accidently clicked accept -.-

Also let Lucas go.

Playing a 4-2-2-2 at the minute and joint top scorers in the league along with City, Muriel and Sturridge upfront are fucking brilliant and Origi is currently pushing for a start aswell, proper super sub.

Lovren can't get in the team ahead of Matip and Van Dijk, Moreno and Robertson are having some very healthy competition for the starting spot, both doing exceptionally well when they're on.

Only downside is I got knocked out of the EFL Cup in the first round to Wolves because I ended up playing a full second string.

Currently sitting 3rd, 4 points off 1st. Just beat Chelsea at the bridge 3-0 and have a cracker of a game against City which finished 3-3 (Aguero the fucker.)

Setup like this for most games:

Karius

Clyne (Att FB).            Matip (Def CD).          Van Dijk (Def CD).           Moreno (Att FB)

Can (Sup RPM).            Henderson (Sup BBM)

Firmino (Att RMD).                                             Coutinho (Sup IF)

Sturridge (Att P).           Muriel (Sup CF)

Mad this game.

Went 8 games unbeaten, then lost 2-1 away to Watford (who are doing a Leicester this season!) then lost 3-0 at home to Southampton....then twatted United 4-0 at home....typical Liverpool I guess!

Playing FM on my ipad recently, just doing a PSG game to get to grips with it, got a nice squad already but not sure how to make the most of it.

I won the league on the final day of last season but i had some horrible injuries to contend with, no luck in the cups though.

Squad already is

GK Donnarumma Trapp

RB Danilo Meunier
LB Kurzawa Maxwell
CB Silva Marquinhos Giminez Kimpembe

Midfield Krychowiak Matuidi Rabiot Verratti R.Sanches

Attackers De Bruyne, Ben Arfa, Guedes, Alexis Sanchez, Draxler, Lucas Moura, Dybala, Cavani

Pretty good, especially going forward, full backs are my upgrade next year.

I think I am trying to set too high standards and expect to win every game 5-0 which i why I am struggling.

How would anyone set that squad up?

Well after the incredible upset against Swansea, league winners Arsenal are the last game of the season, away from home, a win needed to secure 4th place.

Emirates on a sunny, dry day, Arsenal come at me all guns blazing and an own goal by Van Dijk puts them 1-0 ahead in the first 10 minutes....step up Coutinho who smashes in a lovely early cross from Clyne, game on.

Welbeck is running Lovren ragged and manages to to sneak one in at the near post, 2-1 Arsenal at Half Time.

Second half starts, motivating team talk and a few tweaks later, Liverpool on the attack, Moreno with a dangerous cross, Muriel meets it but Cech saves and pushes it out for a corner. Biglia takes, edge of the box, Henderson shot blocked, back to Biglia who whips in a killer cross and bang, 2-2, Coutinho!

60 minutes gone, quick counter attack and it's 3-2 Liverpool, starting to dominate a bit now.

Lallana comes off for Can who manages to get crowded out by 3 Arsenal players, loses the ball and there we go....3-3.

United go 1-0 and take 4th place for now.

82nd minute, Arsenal getting on top, off comes Muriel and on comes Mané as a False Nine, long ball by Karius, flicked on by Can, Coutinho takes out 2 Arsenal players with a quick turn, through ball to Mané, who cuts it back for Biglia running in and there we go, 4-3....United dropped into 5th as Liverpool hold out for a much deserved win at the Emirates.

Champions league qualification sorted, now onto the FA Cup final.....against Arsenal.

it's why i put the ;)

fb's always seem to be way overpowered in fm, 16 was the last one i really got in to and at release you could put any old shite at fb and they'd perform consistently, even paul konchesky might get the odd 7/10 rating ;D they did get nerfed in a later update but they'd generally be among your best performers over a season

I'm struggling a bit with this game

In team comparison (with rest of the league)

I come on top on aggression, jumping, vision , long shots and tackling (although my defence doesn't have the best tackling compared to other teams)

So what sort of tactic should i set up with?

Defensive. Deep line. Direct passing. Try and be pairing and when you win the ball  get the ball to your wingers

Get the same feeling at the end of each transfer window of I cant wait to play FM again but ultimately ill wait until someone has a transfer window update.

With, hopefully, an exciting 36 hours ahead I cant wait for the update and to get back into FM.

Just do what I've done and sign the players we're linked with 😁

So far, i've let Firmino, Klavan, Lucas, Stewart, Ings, Markovic, Karius go and brought in Keita, Salah, Muriel, Biglia, Van Dijk, Oblak and Justin Kluivert.
