cdkeys is almost certainly not legit. But at least I've not heard of people using it having their games locked on steam.
Nothing wrong with cdkeys, I've bought many, many games off them and not had a single one taken away. I don't know anyone else who's had an issue with them either.

Sure you aren't thinking of G2A?

So this is better than last year's? Might pick it up if that's the case. I just feel like the match engine has been so shit for the last few years that whatever they add is pointless if the ME isn't on point.

This year I refuse to get on the SI boards for a bit, just to make my own impression rather than being swayed by the negative comments you typically see.

The ME seems improved. I'm about half way through the first season as Aston Villa and it's quite enjoyable. Haven't seen a lot of things in the match engine that had me scratching my head. Players seem to do a better job of picking out the right pass than in previous versions.

It's really enjoyable to watch the match play out in data analyst view, which allows you to spot the issues with the shape of your side, and what the other side is doing that you can exploit. The data analysis post match is nice as well. Really enjoying the passing map.

Tempted to get this now. Have the beta version every year for the past 2 or 3, which have been a let down. Seeing that it is getting good feedback already is encouraging.

I've used them for loads, steam, xbox and never had an issue

I see they finally upgraded Sakho's passing!

I wasn't planning on getting it this year because of how time consuming it is, but starting to cave..

How's the beta been this year? Debating getting it tonight, don't fancy starting a game if it's anything like last years beta though.

Gutted I won't be able to play this, need to upgrade my PC. My Core 2 Duo Processor E7500, 4 gig ram struggled last year with FM and it became a chore to play, so I've skipped a year. Ready to jump back in.

Still so quiet considering it's out friday. The beta has had a few patches done already but it does seem to have far less bugs than all other fm's on release.

It does seem quiet doesn't it. This can happen with games ironically enough. They finally put out a good balanced game but nobody gives a shit because they continually got burnt on past releases.

Can only imagine it's quiet because there's actually not much done. Think i said it earlier in here that the 64bit change is massive going forward but they can't exactly rave on about it as a selling point as not everyone can use the 64bit version :D really is a football manager 16.5. Luckily my latpop runs the 64 bit version so it's defo worth a purchase. Wouldn't bother otherwise (i skipped 14 and 15)

When can you download the beta without pre-order as I don't want to pre-order the game if it ain't going to run on my laptop. While 16 runs fine some graphics don't show. Mainly when you make an achievement this just comes up as a green box. Everything else runs fine.

What advantage does it being 64 bit have? something about ability to utilise the full RAM or something?

32 bit systems are capped at 3gig of ram i believe (It may be 2). One of the admins on the si forum mentioned the match engine allows more decisions made per second. The speed of the processing is also naturally sped up. But again they don't seem to be highlighting it too much as i guess customers would complain about paying the same for both versions and i imagine a lot of players will still be using the 32 bit.

It's more a change for the future than anything else. You need a 64bit operating system and processor and obviously depends on what else you have running when playing fm

Runs a bit better on my lappy than 16 did lad. Definitely notice it being faster.

Just make sure you turn the 3d off.

Reviews for these games are useless. Every year it's 'Best one ever!' when infact they have no competition, and no need to actually make a step up other than small editions, and updated teams.
Pretty happy with Arse taking it.

Disappointing.

Have to wait for it to be released, think it's in another 2 weeks

The version that comes with fm17 can't be installed on a tablet in case you were thinking that? If you want to be able to play on tablet you'll need to buy it when it's released

Was going to buy the below version says comes with football manager touch and seems that's compatible with the shield, seems a good price just worried its going to be a drag on my old laptop.

where does it say it's compatible with nvidia shield?

there's 2 versions (well there will be when the mobile version is released) of fm touch, the android/ios version which is released in a couple of weeks and is a separate purchase, then the pc/mac/linux version which comes free with the full version of fm or can be bought separately on steam for £20

i think the only reason it's bundled with the full version is to tempt people into forking out for the mobile version as well so they can use the cross save feature

edit: it's on google play store now for £17.99 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=sportsinteractive.fmt17

Just got the demo running and it's quicker than 16 and that's saying something, It seems they are developing the game to run on older type Laptops. Found 15 was the worst on my laptop.

Have a look at Phil in 2018, what a beast (but somehow can't get a game for Brazil)
And I've just got him started training on a new trait: Run with the ball often, that 19 dribling and 18 flair should fit like a glove for this one :D

I'll take a guess and say you've got at least 4gig of RAM? This years game can make use of 64bit technology which means it can make use of more RAM. It seems to be making a big difference for a lot of people.

I haven't played a football manager game in about a decade, but Jurgen's reds have left me thirsting for more football and not less, and seeing how I'm not much of a FIFA or Pro evo man, I was wondering what the word on the street is on football manager? As addictive as ever? Worth the 80 AUD?
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.
