Remember how much people hated it when Rawk went from a white background to what it is now 
We'll get used to it, even if we hate it at the start
yeah I remember it well, MONTHS I toiled away and then everyone cried and I wasn't even being paid!
That's like generic red though, they need to look at it on a range of devices and settings cos on one of my machines its really in your face and iPad doesn't seem as bright. I also despise click to drag elements, they're unnecessarily awkward to use on non-touch and a basic scrollbar which requires no effort other than a bit of css works perfectly well for everyone.
