Emre Can the Bayern Munich player who was Cpt of the U17 squad last summer. I've never seen anyone control a game like him at such a young age. It was incredible, everything went through him and he just stuck out. Let's hope Bayern don't let him go like Hummels ;)

can, Yesil, and Sahin share the same agent :D

Don't know him at all, never seen him play. He's rated highly in Germany though, so quite happy we got him for cheap.

To the people that have seen him (and I'm not talking about just on youtube) what sort of player is he? Will he be pushing for first team soon or even on the bench?
Hating people because of their color is wrong. And it doesn't matter which color does the hating. It's just plain wrong.

I know is not about background, but being a Muslim LFC fan for over 20 years I ave to point out, that Assaidi, Sahin, Yesil, make that our last 3 signings,  Muslim players. This should go down well in Indonesia ( largest Muslim population in the world and vast majority LFC fans, I think)

Saw that in his interview he exects to play for the Ressies/Youth Setup with a view to breaking into the team within a year or two, I would like everyone to be pleasantly surprised and see the lad make a few cameos this season, if he is raw throw him on into a couple cup games, give him a feel for the football here

He's a bit young to 'rot'. Getting regular games in the reserves to highlight his skills first hand to BR is fine. Morgan didn't rot last time I checked?

BBC are reporting on their live stream that Raphael Honigstein, an apparent German football expert, has said that Bayer Leverkusen have announced they have the option to buy Yesil back if certain conditions are met. This is turning into a pretty strange transfer, I can see this one being controversial in the future.

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought when I read it. If he breaks into our first team you wouldn't think he'd jump at the chance to return to a Bundesliga club that will most likely not realistically challenge for the title over there for the foreseeable future.

Wonder what kind of 'conditions' they are talking about? Surely they would be the type that means the lad turns out to be a success, in which case it would make no sense for Liverpool sell him back?

The Daily Mail are reporting that the buy back clause entitles them to buy him back for the same fee we paid for him.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2196279/Liverpool-high-hopes-Samed-Yesil.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

Quote
Yesil is eager to make his mark at Anfield but could yet return to Leverkusen, according to sources at the Bay Arena.
They claim Leverkusen only agreed to the sale on the condition Yesil’s contract contained a clause, enabling the Bundesliga club to buy him back for the same 1.3million euros Liverpool paid for him.
Leverkusen will now monitor how ‘Gerd’ develops at Anfield, sporting director Rudi Voller saying: ‘He is a really big talent, but he is still young and is not yet ready to dislodge Stefan Kiessling from our starting line-up.’

Strange. I hope that Liverpool have the right to refuse a buy-back no matter what 'conditions' are met??

Sounds odd. Barca's have made a couple of complicated deals recently (Bojan, Romelu), so maybe its similar to those. Maybe we've got an option to buy at a set (fairly high) price in a couple of seasons, and if we don't take up the option Leverkusen can re-sign him for what we paid. Or something.

That's okay...as long as it's not "BL can buy him back at a pittance if he becomes a success".  We shouldn't have to sell him if we don't want to.  Don't like the sound of what Voeller said...
‘He is a really big talent, but he is still young and is not yet ready to dislodge Stefan Kiessling from our starting line-up.’

If he's such a big talent then surely you can give him cup games, late subs etc?

Conditions are £1 million for every goal, if we fail to pay within 24 hours of each goal then 'conditions are met'.

Yea. Voller's quote almost implies that he will play for BL once he IS ready to displace Kiessling. Strange.

So this sounds like we play him until he gets experience and becomes a good player and then give him back to them for what we paid. Sounds like a loan. Only we lose money because of inflation.

No matter what anyone thinks of our dealings, there's no way we would buy a player who is intended to go into the U21s, and give them the option to pull him back whenever they feel like it.
That sounds more like a loan with the added bonus for them of not having to have him back if he doesn't reach his potential. No chance surely.
