My walls are so thin that I genuinely look at my phone when the neighbour's vibrates. Oddly though, they had a baby for practically a full year before I even saw / heard / knew she existed - do they keep her in a secret soundproof bunker or something?

Their surname isn't Fritzl, is it?

Just driving down the dual carriageway and almost crashed into some wanker in a woolly hat carrying a bag of shopping from his local mini mart singing Goldfinger at the top of his voice.

I'm still waiting for the punchline

Just had to drop my car off at the garage for major repairs. Up at 5, had 3 hours sleep. The motorway was shut so I couldnt get picked up. Just been striding along the dual carriageway like Alan Partridge. Am sweating like fuck but had to wear a woolly hat as all my hair fell out years ago. Now I get to do a 12 hour day like a navvy. Isnt life a bowl of cherries?

Next door are actually paying someone to put Christmas lights up on their house, the fucking lazy bastards. No wonder the pair of them are getting fatter and fatter, they do fuck all except walk the kid to school at a snails pace, they get their shopping delivered, pay to get their ironing done, get fat fuck takeaways delivered.

People who say 'decimate' when something has been completely destroyed. To decimate something is to destroy one in ten, so it would still be 90% surviving.

Annoying pricks at work. Was finishing off a project today, that should have been my side of it done. Instead ‘stakeholders’ (hate that word) have said we need to change what we’re doing which will basically mean starting again and delaying things by a month putting deadlines that can’t be moved at risk. And then they just drop that grenade and bugger off expecting me to sort it.

And the changes are needed because of something they could have spotted at any point in the last few weeks, but they’ve mentioned it today.

So I’ll moan in here before thinking how to do it!

The meaning / usage has changed since it was used in that way. Currently it does mean "wiped out completely".

The other nine bludgeoned the tenth, meant to knock them back into line.

One killing nine might have been... problematic.

As well as a significant resource reduction... :D

So if a side have a man sent off and then lose a player to injury they can say they’ve been decimated?

Think that would be strangely enough "undecimated". Eleven in latin is Undecim so killing one in eleven would be Undecimated if I've got this right.

EDIT: not sure what 2 in 11 is.  ;D

If you see a lovely field with a family having a picnic, and a nice pond in it, you fill in the pond with concrete, you plow the family into the soil, you blow up the tree, and use the leaves to make a dress for your wife who is also your brother.

The galvanisers gave a cut off date for pre-christmas orders, Friday 26 November.
They emailed me yesterday to bring it forward to Friday 19th which means I have to try and get it all done in 3 days instead of 10, then 2 employees call in sick this morning which means it isn't going to happen.
I now have the fun job of telling numerous customers that their jobs won't be ready prior to the christmas shut down  >:(

I had a forum tiff (not this forum) with someone (a 'moderate' Tory, FWIW) who took issue and told me, back around 2015/16, that funding for Local Authorities had been 'decimated' by the Tory Government.

He was insisting I was wrong and exaggerating, and that it was nothing like that bad.

I literally showed him the official figures that detailed how LA funding had been slashed by actually over 10% and the c*nt still wouldn't have it, claiming that 'decimated' might once have meant losing one in ten, but nowadays it means generally devastated or destroyed.

The fucker just wouldn't have it that he was wrong.
A Tory, a worker and an immigrant are sat round a table. There's a plate of 10 biscuits in the middle. The Tory takes 9 then turns to the worker and says "that immigrant is trying to steal your biscuit"

Might be worth letting me know what you have and then i can list them for sale

Once they sell i will let you know the buyers details and you can send them out

Simple solution, just order a load of cardboard.
