If thats the case, why were they originally due to be laid in October?

Like I said, I don't know much about that kind of thing, so I have no idea.

Received this email today:

The first phase of personalised stones at Anfield Forever will start next week and your stone will shortly become part of the fabric of Anfield.

As soon as your stone is installed you will receive an email asking you to login into your account where you will find details of the area where your stone is laid.  There will also be a location map that you can download to help you find your stone.

Thank you for being part of this momentous occasion.

Nice one Mel.

Strange request- but can anyone recall/check the email address their confirmation of order was sent from?

I ordered one for my recently passed father and can't seem to find it anywhere!

Much appreciated, in advance!

Asked about mine ordered last July;

Thank you for contacting the  Anfield Forever Support Team.

Regarding your Anfield Forever stone,  this will have been laid but may still need cleaned and sealed,  Work has been ongoing at the club since April and the area is fenced off for Health and Safety, hence we have not told customers if their stone has been laid as they cannot be viewed at present.

Once the final QC checks have been completed an the area is made safe , an email will be sent to you regarding the location and you will have the opportunity to download a map which will help you find your stone.   I expect this will be within the next week or so.

Should you have any queries or require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us via this email address or by telephone on 03333 447797.

Kind Regards
The Anfield Forever Support Team

I was up there today and had a little look.

As can be seen from the pictures, they are not laid in exact numerical order, and the numbers on the different sized blocks which are laid together, can differ by thousands.

So far they've laid up to the following brick numbers:

Large: 9230
Medium: 12152
Small: 9043

I'm going to pop up again within the next week, so if anyone wants me to have a look for theirs and get a picture, let me know and I'll try my best to spot it for you.

They're not all managers. Barnes, Liddell and Gerrard there, and Dalglish's I think quoted his playing career.

Shocking error on the Shankly inscription. It says Inter Milan was FOUR days after the FA Cup final. It even has the correct day of Tuesday, so how nobody realised during the whole process that it would have been odd to have had an FA Cup final on a Friday, I don't know.

It was, though, the FA Cup was on the 1st and the Inter match was on the 4th.

It depends, some people would say that it is four days and some would say that it is three.
