Is it too late in the day to try Henderson as a right back? Obviously it's an out-there suggestion but it would - in an attacking sense - get Jordan back to the running and one-two'ing that we enjoyed from him a few years back and doesn't disrupt the midfield.
I'd rather see Henderson in the middle and Fabinho as a RB.

Our first goal was all about and all because of Trent. After Fulham's scandalously disallowed goal, Trent was pointing to the ground in front of him for Allison to lash the ball at. Both of them were perfect.

Salah started to celebrate then made sure everyone went over to celebrate with TAA. Was classy. And deserved. Though he has been getting pissed off with himself, he's still contributing brilliantly to creating. It's helping a lot, while we wait for our midfield to be replenished

Might be missing the sarcasm - but Fulham was offside

Play the tactical player in the middle area and the physical one on the outside as far as I'm concerned.

He's been sub par this season, but we actually challenged for the league with someone who had been masquerading as a footballer for years (Glen Johnson).

Think Trent's played a LOT of football, and its not like he's been proper bad. We barely concede goals!  He's had some very strong showings, and some bad ones. I think we all got used to the crazy good form he had at the end of last season. That's hard for a 19/20 year old who isn't Mbappe to do.

Even the likes of Ousmane Dembele who cost bajillions have dips - Gomez had a bad spell last year when he kept costing us goals while misjudging the fight of the ball.

Trent will be fine.

Do you remember him at right midfield? The second he got pressed he lost the ball. He's arguably our best player at breaking opposition attacks, and close to our worst at being press-resistant. He runs into blind alleys whenever he's wide.

Here's an idea. Lets pick between 3 England Internationals who are natural defenders and have played RB regularly, and let Henderson play where he's actually good - midfield.

Yes I do and I recall two separate stints at the club where he played there. One he struggled because he was new and was expected to play an orthodox wide position, the second time was at the start of the 13/14 season and he was excellent before tucking infield yet still often moving into wide areas in the diamond.

To be honest it's weird you criticise his lacking of press-resistance and then want him to remain in a position where he continually is placed in a position to be pressed by the opposition.

The reason I suggested it is because by losing Trent for anyone of the other fullbacks means losing someone with attributes of a midfielder. I think he needs a rest but at the same time Gomez shouldn't be moved to accommodate it and Clyne has struggled for fitness while - even when fit - being someone who not only lacks press resistance but also the ability to move the ball out like anything other than a solid fullback which is great but so much of our play revolves around the quality of service from fullbacks so then you think outside the box. It's not impossible that Henderson could do what Delph did last season for City, especially considering he's a better player.

I can confirm

It’s him, Mbappe, De Ligt, Kluivert and Tom Davies
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Great having a free kick specialist of sorts in the team.

Needs to get more though as today's and Hoffenheim one are the only ones so far.

I agree he was giving the ball away but he was attempting final balls a lot, apart from the brain fart when he just misfit the ball.
He's basically a deep winger a lot of the time
He sees and plays inside passes to the forwards which destroys opposition cbs.
I dream of a team of Daniel Aggers!
