"Wait a minute. Bart's teacher is named Krabappel? Oh, I've been calling her Crandall. Why didn't someone tell me? Ohhh, I've been making an idiot of myself!" after being told the name of Barts teacher

That is brilliant when he does that.

He starts off with "Selma, my dear, how are you?", then continues as above. He makes it out as if he really cares and then just asks her to shut up. Brilliant.
