I have contacted Excelsior about the game, but Riley's don't seem to show the game. What about Shooters on Thomas Steers way?

That's in a place called the Bierkeller, I don't think they show the non-TV games in there, and to be honest it's not a great place. If you are looking for it though, don't ask people where Thomas Steers Way is as they won't have a clue, ask where Chavasse Park is.

You were right about Shooters. They don't show the game. Still waiting on a response from Excelsior. Any other suggestions?

It's very odd, it's so hard to watch a LFC game in the city. I have been in contact with several pubs, and The Excelsior is the only one I got a positive respond from. Any other suggestions I can follow?

Appreciate the help  :)

Don't ask them beforehand, they might not know or they show the match on a dodgy box and won't tell you on the phone. Do you get here early enough? Just have a walk round town, and ask the bar staff directly.

I'd get food somewhere else though, and watch the match in a pub that doesn't do food, there'll be a lot more that'll show the match.

The Excelsior will almost certainly have it on and the food is decent enough. Another option is Shenanigans on Tithebarn Street, they always show the game but only offer pies and crisps in the food stakes.

Exactly this, in reality there are plenty of places that will show it. Other places that usually do are Tribeca on Berry Street, which is actually a pizza restaurant but also have a bar area and they usually show 3pm games there. The Bridewell which is a pub in a former police station not far from Albert Dock, it's on Argyle Street if you look for that on Google maps, right next to Liverpool One. It's a decent pub and usually shows all games.

Does anyone know if the camp and furnace is ticketed for the final? I've emailed them and phoned them and had no response

Anyone know the best place to watch Liverpool matches in pubs around Anfield? I'm coming up on Thursday in the hope of getting a spare but if not will just watch the match in one of the pubs around Anfield. Never been in one during a match so not sure where to go. The Albert or The Park even show them? Any particularly good for atmosphere?

All the pubs round the ground will show them, the Albert and the Park are both tiny though. If you're watching it round the ground I'd say the Sandon is the best bet simply as it's the biggest, but to be honest I'd say watch it in town instead, a cab from Anfield won't take long.

Cheers mate, anywhere you'd recommend in town?

Hope and Anchor on Maryland Street (behind Hope Street/Hardman Street) isn't bad, they do food as well and it's quite big so there should be space.

Meeting a mate to watch Villarreal 2moro night - would like a pub with a decent atmosphere that means we both only have to get one bus back afterwards (Anfield & Roby) - which means:

- town (Excelsior from what I have read above or Rose & Crown)
- Tuebrook - any ideas? (Watched a derby once in the Lords and it was good but no longer there) or
- Old Swan - ideas welcome!

 :wave Thanks

Can only imagine anywhere in town will be good tomorrow.

The Excelsior isn't particularly great if it's packed I'd say. No huge screen, weird layout  and it's not like theyll be the only gaff showing it.

The Croc/baby croc?

What used to be the barracuda near our Neil's has good screen coverage and cask ales

Sorry.  On my phone and auto correct is messing things.

The bar opposite O'Neils at the bottom of wood Street on Hanover st. Years back it was called the Barracuda. Changed its name on what seems a daily occurrence

The Abbey? (I knew it as The Old Monk) :D Cheers but the staff were so poor last time - left some waiting for ages and served others immediately - didn't improve even after one man politely pointed it out) - swore I'd never go back.

The other two will be fine I'm sure. Cheers for your help!

Coming to the city for the Europa League final next week. Only usually drink around the ground.

Where would be the best place for a good atmosphere full of reds?? Anywhere in the city, or will the pubs by the ground be a good bet??

Where they put the big screen prob! Details yet to be announced - watch the Echo site

But BT are showing the match free to all so that will increase the number of venues showing it

I'd swerve Anfield and head to Camp and Furnace. Been there for about 8 matches over the last 4 years and been free from divvys

I'm still undecided about where to watch it, I reckon Camp and Furnace will be manic. Decided against the Echo as too many of us to organise the tickets

Would love to watch it in the first National

JR's on Great Charlotte St never fails me when it comes to watching the match in the city centre.
;D  Mate of mine and me are the same, everyone swears we are brothers when we're out. He calls me slaphead, I call him slaphead, so when I see him I go "slap" and he replies "slap. People be looking and thinking what the f**k are these 2 on  ;D
but he's a blue nose, so he's a c*nt

Is the First National all ticket for the final? I know they're doing VIP tickets for £45, but presumably that's only a proportion.

It's all you can drink (from 7 until FT) plus food, but either way, I'd rather avoid it.

Anyone know?

Atmosphere in the Camp and Furnace was decent, but too many knobheads that didn't seem to watch the match, but kept pushing past you to stand in the way. Then leave five minutes later, just to come back....
