As a Werder fan, it’s hard for me to want a HSV win. Still, would be nice to have the derby in the Buli again.

Yeah, I have no love for HSV, as I really like Werder, but Hertha are just the most ‘blah’ team in the league, and frankly, they need a massive kick up the arse, they have been a shambles for years.

HSV coming up with Schalke and Werder would be quite something, great for the Buli I think.

Used to live about 15 mins walk from Union Berlin‘s stadium, so not much love for Hertha in this house. ‘Blah’ is a good description. Will be bugging my mate at work for tickets when Werder play Union.

Will be interesting to see whether all three manage to stay up next season.

Absolutely. Like Everton, spending money doesn't automatically equate to success without a long-term vision and a sound recruitment policy.

Hopefully they get the job done on Monday.

In peak HSV style they’ll concede an own goal in a ridiculous way to send it to pens. Won’t be convinced they’re in until that FT whistle goes. Have to be the biggest three clubs to all go up at once if HSV join Schalke and Werder.

Slightly surprised but they’re pretty crap. Won’t be another Haaland at Dortmund for a while and they never got near European or domestic success.

They'll end up getting someone nuts I reckon. Jesse Marsch or someone ;D

Bad night for Hertha, think they'll go down. Hamburg just want it more I reckon. That stadium deserves a better team.

Interesting, checked a list, thought they had persisted with Brett Favre for a far too long stretch, but he was just over two years, the longest of any manager since Klopp.

Merry-go-round, indeed.

Get the feeling that the troubles in producing performances at the expected very high level at Dortmuund stem as much from too many hands at the executive tiller as from the quirks of the various managers. Maybe Zorc leaving will either help or is a sign of too much intereference from on high...

Its all falling into place.

Villa beat City on Sunday. Dortmund are so impressed they hire Stevie. Four years of Bundesliga domination later and.....

If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

:lmao

Whole thing is mad.

Also crazy how last season it was Dortmund nabbing Rose from Gladbach that put the wheels in motion for Glasner to end up at Frankfurt because Gladbach then nabbed their coach! And here we are, Frankfurt are Europa League champions while Gladbach and Dortmund are having to start again.

Must be the Mainz/Dortmund thing again!

He did well in his first season and a half with Gladbach before it fell off the rails (the Dortmund link and then confirmation he was going there certainly didn’t help!). And of course he did well with Salzburg, but then he isn’t the only coach to do well there.

Not succeeding at Dortmund isn’t a death knell though, so no doubt he’ll be back in the game soon.

This would be huge for both teams, finals tend to be cagey so these 2 will be even more nervous and cautious of a mistake.

How many finals in the last year have been draws -
Fa cup
League cup
Euros
Europa league

Bet there is more I have missed off… it’s crazy and shows how much is on the line in them now

Finals are often pretty shite for good reason!

Although this one has been ok, it’s been ridiculously even so far, but quite well played, but no surprise there isn’t a lot of risk being taken that half.

If this was LFC I’d probably not care and I’m sure the supporters of these teams don’t either but this game sucks. These teams just aren’t good final jitters or no. The only interesting thing is the trophy looks like the Holy Grail. Is there any holy water around to find out? Some Indiana Jones style action would be something.
